Tuned In To See Sarah, And A Nasty Clarence Thomas Joke Broke Out
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

I thought Sarah Palin did more than fine on Saturday Night Live. In particular, during her Weekend Update appearance she displayed a speaking poise and polish exceeding that of any of the other candidates on either ticket. But Republicans who agree to appear on such shows put themselves in the laps of the liberal media gods. And those lesser deities abused their power, choosing to run a nasty joke at Clarence Thomas's expense during Weekend Update shortly before Palin appeared.

The set-up was the fact that, in a dissenting opinion published this past week, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts employed the writing style of a hard-bitten detective novel. That set up this . . .

my wife and I tuned in and were amazed at the lack of humor of the show

they should contact the McCain/obama writers from the Al Smith dinner

I hope the Palin segment on SNL gets posted on YouTube because I couldn’t watch the show last night. I tried but it is just so unintelligent and unfunny.

You expected something more from SNL lol, I can't believe she agreed to come on the show. but then again maybe she is a mirror for conservatives. we keep on getting sh*t on by the liberals and our party, and yet we keep coming back for more from them to gain their acceptance.

To liberals it is all about power and control. The enemy is anyone who represents a threat to that power and control; an enemy to be destroyed by any means necessary.

Part of the myth of Liberalism (today's socialist front)- the myth which helps solidify their power - is that the conservative opposition unjustly oppresses women and blacks. To have bright, intelligent, successful, and conservative women and blacks as mouthpieces for "the enemy," and as evidence of the falseness of their underlying arguments - is TOTALLY unacceptable to the Liberals.

The house of lies and deceit that is today's Liberalism/Socialism in America compels them to attack and destroy; to lie and to deceive; to belittle and to mock, successful conservative women and black men such as as Sarah and Clarence.

We have to see and expose the Liberal Socialists for who and what they are.

First post new Freeper; have been reading for quite some time and finally signed up this week.

Personally, I want to look Obama in the eye with the following series:

Mr. Obama, Have you ever heard the phrase, "From each according to his ability, to Each according to his need"

Bambi: "umm, uhhh, yesm it sounds familiar"

Do you know it's origin? 0bamma: umm, ah, I think so ... some kind of manifesto, right?

Yeah; it's from Karl Marx. What I want to know, sir, is how exactly is your economic policy any different from those words and that socialist philosophy"

I want to stare into his beady little eyes while he tries to find some sort of plausible denial.

Hope I did this right ....

I haven’t watched SNL since Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray, Laraine Newman, garrett Morris and Jan Curtin were on. To me, the show took a creative tumble once they were gone and after watching last night I was only interested in seeing Palin and the rest of the show confirmed my reason for skipping it every week. It isn’t even funny or mildly entertaining - just vicious and crude.
