Some of the posts on here are so so so amusing! Let's see, the implication that any woman who doesn't support Sarah is a lesbian? That any one who supports Obama is "unwashed"? The more comments I read, the more taken aback. What happened to actual conservatism? Did you all catch the McCain bug where if you disagree with someone you vilify them? Anyone care to come out of the woodwork and speak realistically?

LOL, sounds good!
If it stops raining I may put up some lights outside.

Anybody that feels well enough to vacuum is really ill...LOL...
But I hear ya on the sunny skies after the gloom and gray...

Well, that sounds good. I might even look for some Christmas decorations...and put my bedraggled little tree up. Maybe. But don’t hold your breath!

Yah! I know!
I washed some whites last week and there were had little pieces of tissue in the tub that I hadn’t seen. As a result of that, I now have little pieces of shredded tissue all over the floor under the drying racks. LOL!
And then there are the bird seed, feathers and cat hair...

We had a nice trip to Leavenworth yesterday. All done up as a Bavarian town — I think the last time I was there was before our tour of Germany back in the 90s. I was seeing elements that I hadn’t seen before.

That sounds like it was a lot of fun.
Of course, I would have had to sample some beer and pomfritz.

I didn't see any pomme frites, but we had lunch there, rindwurst und weisswurst and LoM had some beer.
It was fun to see. All done up for Christmas, of course. The Christkindlmarkt disappointed me for being indoors -- all the ones I've seen were outdoors, and the gluhwein stands were always busy. (It was about as cold, with light snow/hail coming down.)

"... and LoM had some beer.
... with light snow/hail coming down." Anybody who won't drink beer in the middle of a hailstorm just isn't serious about partying.
You can always put your hand over the mug to keep it from getting watered down, unless you want ice in your beer.

Well...now I have to go get some beer...I’ve done all the work I’m going to do for one day, and built up a horrendous thirst.

I'm thinking more built in day care. The one factor limiting us from having a 3rd child is help with the kids.
Not sure how you do it with your brood, but God bless you for it...

"Flurries on tap though..." I kinda wish you hadn't said that. Now everyone will be asking for it.

Not ME!! LOL!
I can see the snow on the Spring Range and the Sheep Range, and that’s “flurry” enough for me!

By the time we had the third one, I didn’t have a job, so I was at home watching them all the time. I don’t remember much about the period 1996-1998, when we had four 7-and-under. We went to church a lot, which probably kept me from homicide.
It’s much easier now, in my middle age, with several children of reasonably functional size.

Still 40’s and drizzle here. The Quinceanera was a success; Joseph, my Chinese boy, did a great job on the piano.

I’m so glad to hear that!
I’ve always enjoyed Quinceaneras, though I was never the object of the celebration. A year too old, by the time I was aware of it. Though maybe they could have fudged a little, if I had expressed an interest.

This young lady didn’t have a flock of girl attendants, but she looked beautiful, and had some young men to “guard” her :-). There was a good-sized congregation, too, although some were taken by surprise when the thing started on time, and therefore turned up late!

That’s kinda like in Utah...lots of folks run on MST...not Mountain Standard Time ~ Mormon Standard Time. They get there often after the opening prayer. ;o]

The last two Quineaneras we did started a half-hour late. Spanish Mass usually starts 15 minutes late (Father’s resting after the previous two services), and *most* people are there by the time the sermon is over.
