"It looks like, walks like, talks like and smells like desperation to me," said the Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell of Houston...

He'll know what real desperation feels like when Islam's bombs drop on his dimwit head. It's true, the Devil has managed to fool many with promises of peace, even the 'elect.'

illustrate just how worried conservative Christian activists are about what should happen to their causes and influence

Terror strikes in the US, nukes on Israel and Russia invading neighbours is merely making Christian activists worried about their "causes and influence". WTH!? The Assorted Pansies are a bunch of freaks.

The imagined look into the future is part of an escalation in rhetoric from Christian right activists who are trying to paint Obama in the worst possible terms as the campaign heads into the final stretch and polls show the Democrat ahead.

The truth always puts Obama in the worst possible light.

I did a quick search of Rev. Caldwell and he appears to be legit. But in spite of that he appears to have fallen for the baloney that Hussein is a capital C Christian.

http://www.kingdombuilders.com/templates/cuskingdombuilders/details.asp?id=23260&PID=74164

Looks like he may be pushing for Hussein for the same reason Colin Powell is; the color of his complexion. Darn shame, too. Seems to be a good man.

Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Come to think of it, Obama seems to have hornswoggled the whole country on the cheap. No signs, no wonders, just a bunch of meaningless hot air!

The United Methodist has been turning into a Liberal advocacy group for a few years now. They have been preaching that being against certain lifestyles and decisions is being judgmental.

“He said it showed that some Christian conservative leaders fear that Obama’s faith-based appeals to voters are working.” Um, the ‘methodist’ pastor must not give a crap that Obama worked in Illinois to protect the suffocation killing of born alive infants completely separated from their mothers body. But then, satan has pastors in all the church organizations. The sad thing is, even when these not yet born again ‘pastors’ are revealed for the dead souls they are, people still flock to them.

I'm confused why this Christian pastor, Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell, who supported Bush in 2000 and 2004 is suddenly supporting a Democrat? What possible reason could he have for endorsing the most liberal Senator who wants no restrictions on abortion? I'm confused. Can someone help me understand? http://gcmwatch.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/cadlwell.jpg

Europe will become a force to be reckoned with in the near future, as the Old Roman Empire is revised. Russia will nearly be destroyed in the battle of Gog and Magog when she and Iran go against the land of Israel. A United Europe will rule the world under the Antichrist. It’s unclear at this time what roll the United States will play. Perhaps an Obama administration, combined with current economic problems will create an impotent nation, or we may join the European Union? The United States will definitely be crippled by what the Church refers to as the Rapture, when millions of Christians suddenly disappear from the planet.

the tenor of the strikes against Obama illustrate just how worried conservative Christian activists are about what should happen to their causes and influence if Democrats seize control of both Congress and the White House.

IOW, what "should happen" to their causes and influence, is that they be smothered, criminalized, and snuffed out?

SHOULD happen?

A little Fraudian slip, when what should have been written was "worried...about what could happen...".

And we are called 'hate mongers' and worse by these control freak Lefties?

Rachel Zoll

AP’s Zoll Smears Conservative Southern Baptists

By Ken Shepherd | January 31, 2008 - 15:49

In a January 29 article for the Associated Press, reporter Rachel Zoll lambasted conservative Southern Baptists as “vicious” partisans who sought to “wipe out” any trace of liberals or moderates from the denomination. What’s more, this characterization came while reporting on a gathering of “moderate” Southern Baptists set to convene tomorrow and featuring ex-presidents (and liberal Democrats) Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. (h/t Steve Barrett)

Both Clinton and Carter were raised Southern Baptist, but Carter has since cut ties to the Southern Baptist Convention and Clinton frequently attended the liberal Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C., with his wife while president.

Here’s Zoll’s first two paragraphs:

Weary of Southern Baptists’ dominance in American Protestantism, a new push is starting by other Baptist groups aimed at working on social justice issues, and showing their religious tradition is broader than the conservative SBC. Former President Jimmy Carter is leading the effort.

Am I losing it or do some of those scenarios have a say 50% probability?

Terrorist attack on 4 cities - possible, perhaps even more.

Russia rolling into eastern Europe? - Watch the Ukraine; they have already had their gas cut off, or threatened with it, and all or much of Europe, I believe, is dependent on Russia for energy. Also another flare-up in Georgia.

Israel hit by nuke? - Possible a dirty bomb but more likely they will do a unilateral strike on Iran at some point with or without our "permission" or support.

Gay marriage in every state? - Inevitable at some point as younger voters get more conditioned, but all of them soon? I'm kind of resigned to that. There will not be a constitutional amendment definining marriage as between one End of Boy Scouts? - Possible I suppose, may be labelled a "hate group" or "homophobic. The Mormons are or have been big on Boy Scouts.

There are many more that weren't mentioned that are possible; some posters brought them up.

I would caution against knee-jerk reactions and avoid open confrontation, may be playing into their hands.
