I think the baby part is to put it in time sequence and provide a “diary” effect.
Well then the author should write a book. But this is an article, which is supposed to be a short exposition on a single topic to convince its reader of principal thesis.
I am happy for the woman who is that subject of the article that she has a lovely baby and that she adores it has made it the center of her attention.
But that is irrelevant to whatever point this article might eventually be gearing itself to get itself up for getting around to making.
Again, this is appallingly atrocious writing.
If you mean Anita’s musings then I agree that the spelling and misuse of words is so; if you mean the commonness demonstrated by the structure of the piece as whole, I would say that it bored itself to death and left the reader with no shovel for the final rite.
As to the allegorical references to her precocious daughter, she simply reverts to a now growingly common theme among dissatisfied prodigies wherein giving birth to an image becomes the fulfillment of self-cloning - the gushing and intimation of genius and talent, the remaking of the writer’s personal childhood and failure to meet suchsame she sees everyday on her own mother’s face.
