I'm standing in line (in the rain) in Richmond, Virginia. Where are you?
Lines are incredible in the most Republican parish (county) in the Republican state of Louisiana. I saw none of the usual neighborly chatter that I usually see on Election Day. Everyone was dead serious about the importance of this election. I’ll bet we set voting records today.

Got to the polling place at 6:05 and by the time I got to the election judges at least 75 people had already voted.
Saw some obvious zero supporters but also noticed a lot of young moms with babies and guys I wouldn’t suspect want him in the oval office.
Saw two other polling places on my way to work and traffic was around the block for both of them and they both had lines 100 ft out of the door.
obama is goebling the free air time.
Obama is milking the cameras.
remember folks they know where each camera is set up.
oh yea and mccain will vote too whatever (media attitude)
when reporting, can you tell us if you’re in a red or blue area, and your best guess as to who the line was turning out for?
Voted this morning in Leesburg, VA. I got in line at 5:50 and had maybe 40 people in front of me. Just to compare, during the primary, I got there at 5:55 and was 2nd in line. No “yutes” in line, mostly good, hard working Americans voting prior to commuting into Tyson’s/Arlington/DC as the polling place is right next to the toll road. I’m working from home today (nice) with talk radio on in the background (currently WMAL).
There were multiple signs banning phones, PDA’s laptops, and iPods. So, I couldn’t post in line if I wanted to. I have a Moto Q 9c with Windows Mobile and can read FR and post no problem.

Waiting for the pools to open in Coeur d’Alene,Idaho - in the rain. 40 miles east of us - they are waiting in new snowfall.
I’ve been standing in line here in West Alabama for 20 minutes and looks like it will take at least another 25 or so. this is the longest line i can remember but it is also at a new polling place so it is hard to judge. Everybody needs to turn out and vote even in safe spots like Alabama!
It was starting to sprinkle. I don't know how many will stick around if it starts raining.

In line 6:30AM - finished out about 9AM.
Last 3 Pres elections I have gone at 6:30 and this is like 10 times long then the past two elections. so far good turnout but it may be people just deciding to go earlier.

I’m not in line, but in my small town in Wyoming I drove into town to vote and it was already packed at a few minutes after 7 this morning. Since this is a very red area of a very red state, sounds good.
I voted in VA Beach this morning. I left the house at 5:30 am thinking I’d be on of the first ones there...the line was already half way back to my house (I live about 2/10’s of a mile from where I vote). I turned around and parked my car in my driveway...the parking line was back to my house anyway and got in line. It took me a little over 2 hours to finally vote, after getting in the line. They had 3 tables set up to check in and about a dozen votting machines and it was still a 2 hour 10 minute wait. Unbelievable. I live in an area that should go big for McCain although I saw alot of obvious Obama voters.
I live on a NJ barrier island—a resort community. Therefore, with only about 350 full-time families with primary residences here (and some 5 different municipalities) polling places are never busy.
However, there was steady stream of people showing up. Obvisously, could not tell how voting was breaking down. I did notice the resident dem leftist checker at her post. Not sure if a pubbie checker was there. I know this woman and there is nothing I would put past her.
Just got back from voting. Most voters I have ever seen in my voting station. We live in a heavy Republican location in VA and the Obama literature folks out numbered the McCain folks. There were 2 Obama poll watchers. One was watching people when they checked in and another with a yellow note pad taking notes when people dropped off their ballots in the bin. I did not see any McCain poll watchers.
I’m just getting ready to go stand in line, see you all after voting and work.
