Just saw Schumer defend the Democrats goal of implementing the fairness doctrine on Fox News. He said that the government controls the showing of pornography so they should have the right to control talk radio! WOW!

These folks had better be very careful. They have begun to believe they are “unbreakable”...

If his analogy were correct, not only would the country not have to worry about communists like Schmuck Schumer shutting down talk radio, it would end up receiving tax dollars to push anti-leftist talk. It would be completely protected as free speech.

No, Schmuck, you lying sack of S***. The country won’t believe you suddenly hate porno and want to shut down talk radio because it’s “obscene.”

Schumer is that stupid. Now he’s only going to motivate yet more conservatives to show up at the polls, if they weren’t so already.

Howdy, neighbor! I’m in the same Cong. district. I’ll always fondly remember the first time I met Hinchey, and the look on his face and change in his demeanor when I gleefully told him I’d never vote for him;)

Words, just words : actually he doesn’t believe that, he simply sees/and uses words as a weapon. The good senator just wants to disarm his opposition.

He may want to but I think he just won’t be able to pull it off. Barney won’t be able to pull off his 25% cut in the military either. Pipe dreams to these guys.

They would have to wonder what the reaction would be to either of those two things and it wouldn’t be pretty.

When we said “free speech”, we didn’t mean for you. :D

If I were a talk radio host, I’d tell the Democrats to forget the fairness doctrine because I’d implement my own version of it. Simply put, I’d invite Schumer and/or any other Democrat to debate me on my program at any time on any issue facing the country...Of course, this won’t happen.
