On the Ground In Battleground OH
self | 11/4/08 | LS

First, I don't have numbers. This is just a report based on phone contacts with other people at "red" polling places and with Montgomery County (Dayton) GOP. (Kerry won this county by 2% in 04)

1) ALL the red precincts were extraordinarily heavy until about noon. Some finally calmed down. Turnout was at very, very high levels. 3x the wait time of 2004.

County GOP says we're hearing this from all our red areas.

2) Better news: many of the Dem and African-American precincts coming in way low. They are voted out through early voting.

3) HEARING---this is hearsay from people on the ground in Warren (deep, deep red, which gave Bush his win in 04)---that Warren turnout is "massive."

More importantly, you forget that dems don’t leave for the polls until 10 minutes before the polls are scheduled to close. Then, when they don’t make it, they cry “voter suppression” and move to change the rules - forcing polls to stay open later until the next busload of Acorn “multi-precinct voters” can show up.

I'll probably be putting this out on a lot of threads, today:

Please call and email media, not just conservative media and with kindly, gently tell them:

"It's the Marxism, 'stupid.' It's Obama's hatred of America's Rights of Life, Liberty, and Property." Period.

The turnout in rural OH gave Bush the state in 2004. If its very heavy in Warren and other rural counties, it may just offset the ACORN fraud from the cities. We'll see how it plays out.

Voting in tiny Columbus,Ohio suburb of Grandview Heights, waited an Hour and a half. It was packed this morning. Weird mix of neo-hippies and conservative family types. Franklin county had massive early voting. My fingers are crossed Ohio breaks for McCain.

Great news, Larry - keep us posted!

I'm in Putnam County, which went 70% for Bush in 2004. I was the 121st person to vote in a precinct of 700-some voters this morning, and the nice election worker ladies told me that is a record pace. Apparently, we bitter clingers didn't get the memo about the Obama tsunami. :)

Voted ~ 1pm in Centeville (south of Dayton). Poll worker indicated volume is 2x compared to 2004. I inquired of acorn/voter fraud and he "assured" me the questionable registrations vote separately and not counted until registration is verified.

With Philly fruad, black panthers, etc, I remain hopeful...barely.

Palin power is real. I predicted this would be the largest Republican turnout in history. I have always believed it and now the whole world will be witness to it.

Shame on Fox. They are firmly and irretrievably on the Dark Side.

No, they're not. FNC is still the best around at giving both sides of a story.

My guess is party ID is dead even. If Dems are not showing up because they believe what the media is telling them, this could be a Republican leaning electorate. Which has implications for the congressional ballot and various state propositions.

Family and I voted in south Dayton this morning (Miamisburg/Springboro airport) and it was jammed. Predominantly red precinct, though there was a far higher percentage of black voters there than I expected. Got there about 6:40 and got out at 8:15 only because we were in the short line. The long line precinct would have been another 45 minute wait.

I voted in Warren Co. this morning. VERY RED precinct. Lines out of the school into the parking lot. I was in line at 6:30 am and waited over an hour and a half to vote. I was ballot 109. Heaviest voting I’ve seen in 30 years voting in the same precinct. Pretty wild.
