Ok, the networks are painful to listen to, as they aren't dealing in reality yet.
I'm going downtown to count real numbers.
Three of our precincts in the Dayton area before 6:00 had come in already at 75% !!! This tracks with 80-85% turnout. I won't tell you what our "win" models are based on, but it sure wasn't 80%!
I urge all of you: wait for real numbers. No projections. Obama's people are scurrying to get callers into NC, MO, anywhere. McCain's callers are being routed to . . . MN.
God bless you LS. Thank you for helping keep us all sane.
Yes high turn out in the straiaght party ration it was 4:1 R in a predominately D district.
GET OUT TO VOTE IN OHIO!! There’s still 30 minutes to go.
This is my first time watching the returns exclusively online - you are correct - much more relaxing...and so much better for my blood pressure!!!
God bless you, LS. And STAY SAFE. Our type is not going to be much appreciated at the ballot counting table.
I can’t thank you enough- I have looked for your posts all day to keep me sane:)
Look forward to hearing from you later!
You’ll never go back to the old way.
But man is the freerepublic slow tonite. Worse than usual election nights.
Fox News has a great interactive map. It automatically updates and I don’t have to be annoyed with the pundits or pseudo-intellectuals.
Thanks for all you do, Larry. True about MN...I was asked to make calls there today. ;)
(In deep, threatening voice to all you DUmmie lurkers)
It has begun....
The Palin Landslide of 2008!!!
WHOOOOOO HOOOOO!
Minnesota is turning red because hockey moms identify with Sarah. This should have a significant impact in Colorado also, maybe even Wisconsin.

Hey DUmmies, we have our people workin’ the streets handing out hockey pucks for Palin Votes!!
News is saying voter turnout in grand forks ND is also way up around 80%.
But they are saying exit polls are too close to call. which probably means it’s not looking good for Obama.
Callers routed to Minnesota?
Did we LOCK UP WISCONSIN ALREADY!!!!!
Yup- on-line only here in 04 and now. I had problems with my (then) DSL in 00, and couldn’t get on-line on election day.
We are in a small city here in SE Ohio that is pretty high in Dems. The ladies at the precinct said it was a very slow day for them so perhaps a lot of Dems in this area just didn’t bother to vote?
So.. DID the PUMAS and Reagan Dems help us...Or not???
Maybe they voted early? Should be Republicans going to vote after work for the next few hours.
