Who won tonight? The MSM.

Posted on 11/04/2008 11:58:48 PM PST by toughwuss

A sad night for sure, and looking back over the last eternity it seems, there is one thing for sure, the McCain Campaign didn't lose (he got closer than any other republican could have gotten this time around), the Obama Campaign didn't win, The MSM won.

The Media won its battle for the Hearts and Minds of the American People.

This process began about a year into the Iraq war, when the press systematically began undermining the country, the president and all of our safety with how and what they reported... this built into a movement that had not our countries best interest in mind, but the ultimate outcome of changing the political landscape at any cost...

I'm sad to say, but they Won. The population have been dumbed down to the point that they cannot or will not look past this veil that covers the reality. I pray enough come out of this comma that we only have to endure 4 years of this and come back stronger.... but tonight I can only weep for what is to come.

Give Obama the respect he deserves.

He deserves none. He's also completely illegitimate, he stole this election and I doubt he is even a citizen.

As far as I am concerned Obama is a revolutionary usurper.

I think the MSM made many voters conclude that US is already in a “Great Depression”, like the one during 1930s...

No, that's not it.

They opened their September 401(k)/IRA statements, took one look, and said, "Holy crap, 2/3's of it is gone! I can't retire for 15 years!"

That'll do it.

Everytime 0bama opens his mouth it is overwhelming lies. He has a track record and it isn’t good. He lied his way through this ‘election’. You’re right though, and we will see and if you are not a plant I expect you will join those who see what’s coming within just a yr. I am an eye for an eye person and I will give no respect to those scumbags. And, at that, it really is being treated more justly than they ever treated Reagan, Bush 41&43 and Palin because in their case what is said about them is TRUE.

Bush followed Rove’s advice

Wonder what we'd find out if we waterboarded Rove under hypnosis and pentothal?

Look at those swing states. McCain either lost by hand full of votes or no more than 3 percentage points at the most.

Um, you mean the swing states were close? I can't imagine why they were called "swing states," then. Pennsylvania went 55/44, and Ohio 51/47, so it wasn't all that close.

For now, we need unity. The best way Obama will govern from the center is if he is supported by Conservatives, which is clearly what McCain had in mind.

Whaaaaat.....?

Govern from "the center"? What center? The country's split in two, with the MSM trying to kill off the real America by turning everyone on to their Marxist-collectivist, corporatist-statist poison. That they have failed so far is due to the pugnaciousness of talk-radio conservative commentators who refuse to be bamboozled.

"Center"? There hasn't been a "center" since the 1980 campaign. Both parties have been sharpening differences. Now the 'Rats/MSM will try to blur them, to pull people over to their side under false pretenses and anesthetize them in a warm bath of gooey Obaminoid goodwill.

Atmospherics. "Political rhetoric". You can't rely on that. It's prolefeed, ginned up for consumption. It bears no relationship to his substantive agenda.

“republicans, whats left of us, should totally shun the press. No interviews, no talk shaows, NOTHING!”

That is terrible advice! We need to counter the Democratic message, not hide in a cave.

Wall street hasn’t voted yet.

So they got the e-mail about voting being postponed until Wednesday, too?

I thought McCains speech conceding defeat was very graceful.

What a man says is important, but what he does is what really matters. Obama is a smart guy. He must know that a policy whereby people are rewarded by society irrespective of their contributions to it is unworkable. Maybe he just espoused all these ludicrous policies just simply to get elected, but has no intention of actually implementing them.

OK its clutching at straws, but stranger things have happened.

The good thing is now that the owners of these socialist rags who gave us Obama will have to pay the damn taxes and the rest of us who make up the 95% will be getting tax breaks. That seems like justice to me. Or where they just fooling us?

What we should of done when we used to have power and control the FCC was to put the nets out of business. Break up the monopoly you might say. Let independent stations go directly to the producers of Hollywood shows and let them get shows directly from them. Let them have the same shows the network affiliates have. Then there would be no need for the networks. But then again our side has never thought beyond the next election and has alway preferred to work with in the terrain that is given instead of changing it. The Dem’s are going to put talk radio out of business it should of been us doing away with the nets.

Well, every indicator is that he does believe in this socialist nonsense, and that will tax the people inordinately and spend the Treasury dry in support of it.

The Democrats run Congress and they are going to have few impediments to whatever socialist nonsense that they want to put in. Probably the most worrying is a "United States National Health Service"; such a new medical entitlement, on top of the vast quagmire the Democrats have slammed through with Socialist Security and Medicare, would be another bale, not a straw, on the camel's back.

It's not hard to predict that BHO is going to be greatest domestic disaster since FDR.

The MSM have indeed won a major battle. I believe though that they may be mortally wounded.

Here’s hoping that for an agonizing death for the monsters.

I agree that certainly a defeat for Obama would have been a defeat for the MSM. The fight of the next 4 years must include a way to deal with them.

Fortunately there are financial indications they are eating themselves alive.

But I think we are going to have to take from the left the notions of "alternate" and even "guerilla" media, make them responsible and respectable so that the lies of the left can be answered.

Many here are jumping on Dubya and McCain for not effectively answering certain charges. I think that that isn't as easy as it might seem. When every statement of their is followed by a misleading "interpretation" by some newsie, the fight has to be taken to a different field.

That means, for example, no more appearances on the Today Show or the like. Just do an end run around those mofos and try to reach the electorate through other channels.

If they are not regulated out of existence, Rush, Neal, Sean, Glen, Mark and the rest could be our vanguard for the next few years. And if they ARE regulated, let them broadcast from off-shore and use the net and such for communication.

But do not make nice with the newsies.

I quit television years ago. And I found my life to be richer and fuller as a result.

On occasion I’ll watch an old movie, but that’s it.

Switch off the tube for six months and see for yourself. Join the revolt. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

When you turn the television back on, you’ll notice how the advertisements just blare out at a person when they come on. You’ll become quickly disgusted as to how many ads are on in one hour. You’ll find that the screen writing for television shows is simply awful and absolutely unimaginative. It will be a shock.

Just try it. Free your mind and your soul.

I don't think so. I think their decline will accelerate. As a result of the blatant bias, this week I reprogrammed my TV to delete the CNN and MSNBC channels. And the other non-all-news channels (ABC, NBC, CBS) news programs will not be watched----period. Local news only from now on.
