Vanity: Time to change the old guard, we cannot afford to wait!

I've been thinking a lot of what happened last night and I want to give you thought of how this happened and what went down in the UK in 1996 because its the same.

This is very like similar to what happened in the UK when Tony Blair swept out the British conservatives in 1996, its exactly the mirror of what happened last night, Obama is Blair mark 2, a smooth speaker with not much substance that ended up practically bankrupting the moral and financial fabric of the UK and having to leave in disgrace.

Blair did what Obama did promised change and renewal and look what happened, landslide victory of the scale on the back of a very unpopular economy and conservative prime minister.

The problem was then the conservatives imploded, we cannot let that happen. The british conservatives are only just getting back in force now and its because the old guard refused to relinquish the reins for 8 years and only now have the younger more dynamic leaner conservatives taken shape and taken shape with force with amazing results.

This is why Palin needs to be brought in to lead now with Jindal and more younger conservative Republicans getting star power because they know this is a changing of the old guard, the old republican warhorses need to bowing out we need fresh ideas to bring more people in. We need to stick to the conservative values. We need to get them pumped and taking the leadership role.

Governors like Palin and Jindal are the way forward, theres going to be one hell a power struggle for the soul of the party but the older generation needs to stand aside quickly for a new brand of republican conservatism. For if we dont, you can forget the next 12 years.

We cannot afford to lose states likes Indiana and North Carolina and the whole Midwest is teetering on the brink last night.

If we don't get a grip fast we're in trouble, the dynamic and demographics of this country are changing, if we dont follow that, then we will be forever out of power.

We need to bring African Americans and Latino's and Asians back to the party, they are definitely more conservative than democrat but we need policies to reflect that within our own acceptances, things have to change that want to make them come back.

We need to have someone ready in 4 years and it has to be someone like Palin and Jindal, there needs to be a big cleanout, People like Libby Dole and Ted Stevens need to be gone and taking backseats getting the younger generation ready for the fight because 2012 will come fast.

What comes next, we have to decide but make no mistake, delaying it is not an option and if they wont go, they must be told to go.

Actually, I was shocked at how Tony Blair supported the war on terror. It seems like he got it. I expected much worse from him and thought he was a decent PM.

The problem is when you have someone young, smooth as Obama is and you are countering him day on day with old warhorses, it just looks stale, this is a huge image problem, why do you think , the age thing bothered more people than the inexperience question.

We canot have the next 4 years have people like McCain and McConnell and the Bushes as the face of republicanism, the young bucks need to move fast or we will be slaughtered at the polls again.

You newbies are eat up with the vanities and your self importance. If a month is a lifetime in politics what is three years.

Well are you going to offer any ideas of what we should be doing instead of acting like a whipped dog.

LOL, I haven't seen any true conservatives step forward and say they are running for anything. When that happens I'll give you a heads up.

Yeah, it’s all about looking “cool”. To hell with the “people” of the US. If they are so stupid that they will only elect the ‘coolest’ instead of the person who will give them them most stable economy and most personal freedom, then let them descend into a totalitarian state and feel what it really feels likes.

If you want change step 1 is going to be to stop re-electing the same tired candidates to the House and Senate. Everyone seems to want a change, but not if it means getting rid of their Congressman.

Won’t happen though because people will be afraid that, if their incumbent loses in the primaries, the candidate that wins the primary will lose in the general election.

Ha. It seems like there is a formaldehyde jar where the fossils in their 80’s and 90’s preserve themselves in the Congress and hang on and they never die, and they never fade away either. McCain will probably try again in 2012. Count me out.

PALIN & JINDAL!!! 2012!!

I doubt seriously that this country actually deserves to survive an “Obamassiah” “presidency” which will either be a creeping or a galloping exercise in Marxism.

I’m responding to the idea that Governor Palin caused McCain’s loss. GOVERNOR PALIN was the only thing in his campaign that helped him get more than twenty-five people at his rallies. Lieberman would have drawn maybe thirty, and I think the MSM, SNL and the rest of the snotty elite academics in their own minds would have parodied and pop quizzed Bobby Jindal (and any other Republican who ran) until he would have looked like “Ned” in the First Reader. Whoever sent Sarah Palin into the pyranha pool to be quizzed by Katie “Snuffy” Couric like she was a six year old kid was either a Democrat plant or not right bright.

I never said, and do not believe, that Palin caused McCain’s loss. I think she helped him more than hurt him.

I like Sarah Palin a lot. I think she has a great future in politics. I just don’t believe she’s presidential material.
