The McCain Classless Cowards
Michelle Malkin ^ | 11/05/08 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 11/06/2008 3:38:47 AM PST by DocT111

The anonymous trashing of Sarah Palin by blabbermouth McCain aides who are leaking to Fox News is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

Allah’s got the vid clip of a report citing unnamed McCain staffers accusing Palin of lacking, in Carl Cameron’s words, “knowledgeability.” More slime here. And here.

At least all the Hollywood and Manhattan Palin-haters were willing to sign their names and put their faces on their attacks.

Let’s assume the rumor-mongers are telling the truth for a moment. Who does it damn more: Sarah Palin or McCain and his vetters who green-lighted her for the vice presidential nomination? Don’t need an Ivy League degree to figure that one out.

Sarah Palin worked her heart out. She energized tens of thousands to come out who would have otherwise stayed home. She touched countless families. I didn’t agree with everything she said on the campaign trail. But two fundamental conservative stands she took mattered greatly to me: She vigorously defended the Second Amendment and the sanctity of life more eloquently in practice than any of the educated conservative aristocracy.

And she did it all with a tirelessness and infectious optimism that defied the shameless, bottomless attempts by elites in both parties to bring her and her family down.

Shame on the smearers who don’t have the balls to show their faces.

Thank you, Sarah Palin. Thank you for stepping up the plate and serving your country.

While McCain's statements would often induce wincing, Governor Palin's would always hit the mark. She is the consummate professional and a natural. The fear she induces among the Left and the RINOs is as palpable as that felt by a teen about to get taken out in a horror flick.

She is great. She is ours.

McCain had a pathetic, limp campaign

Precisely.

Palin was "political viagra" to McCain's campaign, who didn't know what to do with it after she arrived.

Palin/Malkin 2012

Aside: I wonder how the “intelligentsia” would have dealt with Ronald Reagan—seems to me that Ronaldus Magnus was slimed as well after 1976...so too Barry Goldwater after 1964.

A Palin/Malkin ticket would infuriate the “intelligentsia” (bleep the intelligentsia and the democrat donkey they ride in on); but it would very likely take the Republican party back for us conservatives, all but assure us of the motivated volunteers and donors and punditry we need to return true Republicans to a working majority in Congress; and make for some great fun and battles in the next four years.

To RINOs: Mess with the (pit) bull and you WILL get the horn.

If this were true, don’t they realize that it simply reveals their extremely poor judgement in picking her as the running mate.

If Sarah Palin had not been the vice presidential candidate, a couple of million more GOP voters would have stayed home.

No undecided broke for Obama over Palin. That's a joke.

This is why we can't win:

ONE DAY after they win the White House the Dems are busy spreading “Divide & Conquer” dissension amongst Republicans.......

and we FALL FOR IT!

Yesterday, one of the FNC anchors said that Steve Schmidt refused to say that Gov. Palin was a good pick for the ticket. He stammered and said let the pundits decide. He’s suspect #1.

If McNuts and his folks had let Sarah do the real straight talk, they would have been bett off. McNuts’ charisma was totally overwhelming! BTW, I’m back to using McNuts rather than McCain.

I worked my butt off for McCain these last months ONLY because he isnt Barack Obama. The only thing he did right throughout his entire campaign was picking Sarah Palin as his VP. Now the very people that led our party to disaster are attacking the one person who worked so hard to save it. Sarah will be back and John’s time is over. He is a military hero but a political fool who made it to the bright lights and wilted. He can go back now to being a RINO and let real Republicans rescue our party.

in 1996 McCain followed and campaigned with Dole.

McCain with a few changes copied dole. Other than picking a conservative, he did the whirlwind push the final days.

McCain thought he was “just picking a woman”, he was wrong and did not understand it was the candidate’s conservatism that made the case.

NOBODY here had any illusions about McCain.

Senator Palin would be the counter balance for Hillary Clinton in the Senate.

Yeah, the problem is we worked for McCain but he wouldn’t work for us. Sarah is the one that kept my spirits up and she’s the future as far as I am concerned.

I didn't say she was bad. I think she's great! I believe she would have won a 4-way race against those three losers. What my post said is that the lib-left-demholes-MSMwhores have recognized her as a threat to their dominance. And a threat to them must be eliminated. They will continue their vicious attacks and character assassination so long as she is a threat. They may back off a bit, and it may not be as visible as it’s been since the convention. But it’ll continue behind the scenes. And after the 2010 mid-terms, when talk of the 2012 primaries starts, the knives will come out again. And the Vichy-Republicans will assist. I bet that in the meantime, the Obama justice department conducts some lame investigation(s) over completely trumped-up allegations, and of course Obama’s Ministry of Propaganda aka; the MSM, runs 24/7 coverage. Which will also be a convenient distraction from whatever scandal or debacle Obama will be hip-deep in at the time. They’ll bring the trumped-up charges to keep her from the nomination, or afterwards to kill her campaign.

She’s a threat. They will put all their efforts into making her un-electable.

Sarah Palin was by far the highlight of this campaign season.

Bingo! Sarah brought more attention to the McCain campaign than all the gimmicks the McCain's handlers could come up with combined.

THAT is why these aides have a case of sour grapes. It's also why their post election commentary isn't sitting well with fans of Sarah.....

It seems that the McCain aides know they screwed up running the campaign so badly they’re doing a Barney Frank-they know they’re at fault so they have to play offense and blame Sarah before the finger points back to them. Sarah was the only reason I voted for McCain-hope doesn’t let this dim her hopes of going on to bigger things. She’s the best thing that’s happened to this party in a long time.
