Palin Assails Anonymous Republican Sources for 'Cowardly' Attacks
Fox News ^ | November 07, 2008

Posted on 11/08/2008 2:21:45 AM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Sarah Palin's allies are pushing back against a stream of accusations leaking out of John McCain's campaign, and Palin herself has called her critics "cowardly."

Palin insisted she never asked for the expensive wardrobe purchased for her use on the presidential campaign.

"I never asked for anything more than a Diet Dr. Pepper once in a while," Palin said as she returned to the governor's office from her two-month odyssey as the GOP vice presidential nominee.

Her comments follow FOX News' reports that McCain aides anonymously claimed the Alaska governor was incompetent during the run-up to the election.

Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton on Friday called the charges "sickening," and she denied the reporr that there was tension between the vice presidential candidate and McCain's staff.

They range from claims that Palin went on extensive spending sprees to accounts that campaign officials had serious doubts about her preparedness to to be vice president.

Sources told FOX News, for instance, that Palin did not realize that Africa was a continent and not a country, and that she could not name the nations that had signed the North American Free Trade Agreement.

"I consider it cowardly" that they did not allow their names to be used, Palin said Friday.

Palin said those allegations aren't true. She recalled discussing Africa and NAFTA with aides who prepared her for the vice presidential debate with Democrat Joe Biden.

"If there are allegations based on questions or comments that I made in debate prep about NAFTA, and about the continent vs. the country when we talk about Africa there, then those were taken out of context," she said. "That's cruel, It's mean-spirited.

The RINOcrats try just that. They want to neuter the Conservatives so they can be the b*tches of their Democrat overlords eternally. Any Republian interested in rebuilding the GOP knows that Palin, in whatever position, is a huge asset. Bashing her, p*sses off us! She energizes the base, RINOsaurs make people cringe and puke.

Sarah Palin, IMO, represents everything that has traditionally been considered fine and noble in the American character; as such, it is no wonder she is widely hated by those who wish the nation brought low. Such people are, indeed, cowards, as they, themselves, know that they are, moreover, personally inadequate, and are both jealous of and furious with any who are not so.

All of the foregoing being the case, she will, now and in future, be a lightning rod for criticisms of and vilification by such low characters as those described. That she handles it all with such poise and aplomb is both a tribute to her and a tribute to the American character she so honorably embodies.

PUSH THE RINOS OUT...
They know that THEY LOST that election with their useless, clueless, spineless, bipartisan non-sense... hence THEIR AGRESSIVITY trying to fool the base as usual...

In a FREE WORLD they should ask the “Republican” base to vote...A clear debate should happen very soon so that everyone could make a choice...
If it’s not the case...Let them go away to the dems

Either the RINOs go or I go. They have done irreparable harm to the Republican Party. We need a true conservative party, even if that means we need to start a new party. Start modest as far as goals and expectations (i.e., run for local municipal and state offices at first rather than nationatiol ones). Build a name and a following, then expand to more visible national offices. But the key is to have a foundation in down-ticket offices upon which to build. It is the surest way for growth and the ultimate prizes (i.e., Congress and the White House).

Never forget....the Romney-ites are behind this as well.

Palin is a threat to a Mitt Romney nomination in 2012, hence, she has to be given the Dan Quayle treatment.

Palin also reportedly asked to speak at McCain's concession speech Tuesday, and was denied.

This just burns me up even more! Right now, I don't give a spit about McCain, his military service, or his time as a POW. His silence while these "ananoymous" campaign staffers drive their knives into Governor Palin's back is both deafening and damning, and he deserves ALL the opprobrium that history will heap upon his sorry carcass after he is long gone.

Do we really know that or is that more BS from the MSM, just like the Palin insults?

Totally off subject here, but do any of you have an address where we can send Sarah Palin a card? My husband and I want to let her know we were and are thinking about her during this mess.

From the get go I was not a McLame backer. I voted for him for two reasons. One, the alternative was a pathetic socialist. Two, Saracuda.
John has been a quasi-RINO jerk for years.
Those who are blasting the Cuda are mostly RINO dogs anyway who should be thrown out of the party.

Of all that I've read I've never seen Romney's name involved. What is your proof?
