Report: Obama Sends Advisor Malley to Cozy Up to Egypt and Syria

(IsraelNN.com) According to a report on Middle East Newsline, President-elect Barack Obama has dispatched his "senior foreign policy adviser", Robert Malley to Egypt and Syria to outline Obama's policy on the Middle East.

Malley reportedly relayed a promise from Obama that the United States would seek to enhance relations with Cairo and reconcile differences with Damascus.

"The tenor of the messages was that the Obama administration would take into greater account Egyptian and Syrian interests," an aide to Malley was quoted as saying. The aide said Obama plans to launch a U.S. diplomatic initiative toward Syria. Malley met both Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad "to explain Obama's agenda for the Middle East."

F-16s for Egypt Aides to Malley also said that Obama told Mubarak that the United States would maintain military and civilian aid and sell advanced F-16 aircraft to Cairo. Egypt has not ordered F-16s in nearly a decade.

Malley was an advisor to President Bill Clinton and played an active role in the Camp David summit with Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat. He later published an article in which he laid some of the blame for the failure of those talks on Israel's doorstep.

International Crisis Group In May 2008, Malley said in an interview that he had been in regular contact with Hamas, as part of his work for a conflict resolution think-tank called the International Crisis Group. This aroused ire and concern in pro-Israel circles, and prompted a spokesman for Obama to say that “Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.”

One of the sponsors of the International Crisis Group is billionaire George Soros, who sits on its board and its executive committee. Other members of the board include former United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and former general Wesley Clark, who called US support for Israel during the Second Lebanon War a "serious mistake" and said that "New York money people" were pushing the United States towards a confrontation with Iran.

Ba’raq al-Hussein Obama needs to be reminded that George W. Bush is President of the United States.

78% of American Jewry voted for O. I hope they are happy with O's overtures to Syria.

I can only conclude that 78% of American Jewry simply don’t believe Israel has a right to exist. Maybe I’m wrong, but how else do you explain this infatuation with Obama?

If Iran attacks Israel and Obama doesn’t lift a finger to support them, will those 78% still support Obama?

But Biden said noooo, he won’t sit down with terrorists....already cozying up to Damascus - which is working on nukes, is probably sitting on all of Saddam’s WMD.

He didn’t waste any time with his “sitting down with no pre-conditions,” is he? And with the help of a George Soros organization to boot. Obigula is Soros’ man, bought and paid for.

I guess he has to do something for all that good illegal terror organization money that financed his campaign.

One wonders if they would have supported him if that tape had been released by the L.A. Times.

Israel is going to take care of Iran’s nuke program. They aren’t going to wait for this guy to get into office.

We now have the first charges to file for the impeachment of Obama. He is violating the Logan Act.

Didn’t they say they were going to release the tape AFTER the election. Maybe I’m getting that confused with the Governor of Hawaii that said Obama’s original vault birth certificate would be released AFTER the election or maybe it was Oprah saying she would invite Sarah to a sit down talk on her show AFTER the election. Darn, I’m so confused.

Obama's and the Illinois' governor's crooked buddy Rezco just happens to be Syrian.

Malley's kissed Syrian butt before:

Obama advisor wants talks with terrorists
The revelations about Obama's relationship with Khalidi follows a recent WND article [http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59930] quoting Israeli security officials who expressed "concern" about Robert Malley, an adviser to Obama who has advocated negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the terrorist group.

Malley, a principal Obama foreign policy adviser, has penned numerous opinion articles, many of them co-written with a former adviser to the late Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, petitioning for dialogue with Hamas and blasting Israel for numerous policies he says harm the Palestinian cause.

Malley also previously penned a well-circulated New York Review of Books piece largely blaming Israel for the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations at Camp David in 2000 when Arafat turned down a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza and eastern sections of Jerusalem and instead returned to the Middle East to launch an intifada, or terrorist campaign, against the Jewish state.

Malley's contentions have been strongly refuted by key participants at Camp David, including President Bill Clinton, then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and primary U.S. envoy to the Middle East Dennis Ross, all of whom squarely blamed Arafat's refusal to make peace for the talks' failure.

[Robert] Malley has seemingly followed in his father's [Simon Malley's] footsteps: he represents the next generation of anti-Israel activism. Through his writings he has served as a willing propagandist, bending the truth (and more) to serve an agenda that is marked by anti-Israel bias; he heads a group of Middle East policy advisers for a think-tank funded (in part) by anti-Israel billionaire activist George Soros;... -------------- "Barack Obama's Middle East Expert," BY Ed Lasky , American Thinker, Wednesday, January 23, 2008

He said so so that he can now ignore that fact, obviously. As he sees himself as the One, he does not need to pay attention to such matters; he cannot help but project that attitude. It will be interesting to see Rahm Emmanuel assist in the destruction of Israel.

"78% of American Jewry voted for O. I hope they are happy with O's overtures to Syria. "

"You may say: the Lord has raised up prophets for us in Babylon, but thus says the Lord God Almighty, the God of Israel: Do not be deceived by the prophets among you or by your diviners; do not listen to the dreams they dream, since they prophesy lies to you in my name. I have not sent them." (Jer.29:15).
