Lightning storm that would be nice.

Fire and brimstone, too.

Similar fire bomb (molotov cocktail) arson attack was committed against the Texas Governor’s mansion in Austin the same weekend as the Texas Democrat convention. I thought they nabbed the perps in St. Paul, MN during the RNC convention, but they may still be on the loose.

Hopefully the FBI will catch them while they are still allowed to.

Say what people will, if it weren’t for the Mormons, prop. 8 would not have passed in California.

These pukes had better be careful. Not all Mormans are passifists and many are well armed and skilled marksmen.

Not to mention the 5 LDS Chapels that were vandalized this weekend in Utah. Of course, according to the police, this is not a hate crime, nor does it have anything to do with Prop 8. I heard the story on the radio and the police just said that they were random vandalizations even though no homes or other churches were hit.

Governor Arnold is a real idiot. He basically told the gay protestors, don’t worry, the courts will over turn the will of the people. What kind of a Republican Governor is he anyways? I thought at one time he was against Gay Marriage? It seems like he is completely pandering to the Gays. Arnold is a terrible Governor to advocate that the courts over turn the will of the people. There is no justification for that at all!!!

This is all about intimidating the average American into silence.

Pick a group you know can’t fight back, and then do everything you can to make their lives miserable.

Eveveryone else gets the message.

Now if the Mormons would send a few able-bodied men out to clear the streets, the gaystapo would quickly find someone else to harrass.

It was the blacks and Hispanics who didn’t put their measure in and who had the vote. Can’t they read their own polls to see who didn’t support it?

The intolerance of the Left and its refusal to accept the results of the democratic process when the results go against it, is why the Culture Wars will not be over any time soon.

Exactly? It was the Black and Latino vote that put 8 over the top. I heard/read somewhere the white only vote favored NO on 8. I think it’s pretty obvious why the guys are not showing up in Black and Latino neighborhood churches.

It would be funny though. It would be even better if they could take some of their (s)elected officials with them. Let the community see with whom their leaders are with.

So when are these “courageous” crowds going to go to Compton to protest in front of a black church?

Maybe instead of burning a flag, they could try burning a cross...

I always ask the "free speech" crowd how lighting a fire is equated with speech. They wouldn't go to Harlem and burn a cross, would they.

Gay activists seek the authority to control what any and all religions may say, do or believe. They seek to repeal that portion of the First Amendment dealing with religious expression. If allowed, the new First Amendment will look something like this:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. (Unless someone with a political axe to grind determines that sed speech is hateful.)

We can boycott the corporations funding the repeal of Prop 8.

Boycotts can work for our side too.

There are many corporations funding the repeal of Prop 8.

This link takes us right to the corporate sponsor page to repel Prop 8:

Unfortunately, there are too many real examples where the courts have been used to overturn the will of the people. In one stereotypical case, there was a vote in the 80s in Dallas to add more seats to the Dallas city council. Several options were created and placed on the ballot. One particular plan received a large majority of the vote, however, opponents didn’t like the plan and sued to get the will of the people overturned. An obliging court did just that and the options were placed on the ballot again for another election and, once again, the same plan won by a significant majority.

As before, the opponents of the plan went back to court and not only got the vote overturned, they got the judge to write an injunction prohibiting the city from being able to put the same plan on a future ballot.

This could well happen in California with Prop. 8. Just be prepared for it.

First, it was my understanding that Prop 8 over turned an 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling allowing gay marriage, which is why there were some marriages performed already.

Notwithstanding, your caveat to expect the courts to try and overturn the vote, again, is warranted. However, the court has no jurisdiction to assume absolute power over the People. It violates the 10th Amendment. Therefore, the so-called ruling in Dallas has no merit. According to Marsbury v Madison (1803), any ruling, law, or statute that violates the US Constitution is null and void, and therefore requires neither adherence nor obedience.

As far as the LDS Church getting targeted, I am sorry to say that this is just the beginning of Christian sorrows. As the "New World Order" becomes more centralized and consolidated, you will find that tolerance for Christians will wane. And for only those Christians who stick to their principles.

Well, my FRiend, we can discuss the constitutionality of the decisions from now until the end of time and the end result remains the same - liberal, activist judges have trashed the Constitution INCLUDING the 10th Amendment and do pretty much anything they can get away with.

In the Dallas case, it has been over 20 years since that happened and the status of the additional city council seats remains quo. We were forced to vote for one of the other plans and the opponents basically ended up with the one they wanted.

I agree that Christian sorrows are just beginning. Wer have long been on liberal's radar screens and it appears that they are now poised to wage all out war on us. Is it any wonder that liberals are miserable, angry, hate-filled people?
