You just don’t know. I would say that most teenage pregnancies do happen to kids who have parents who have been neglectful.

It’s totally uncalled for.

Prayers for you, your father and child.

My husband passed away a few months ago. We would have celebrated our 50th anniversary on the 21st. This is a very stressful time for me as well.

I'll never forget, after one of Sarah's speeches .. through extreme applause, those wonderful words ...

"Where are my kids?"

I believe that Mrs. Eisenhower’s mother and Mrs. Truman’s mother both lived at the White House.

I didn’t see the post, but if something is really over the top, hit the “report abuse” button right under the poster’s name. That alerts the admin moderator and they are pretty quick (usually less then 5 minutes) to remove ugly posts.

There is A LOT of ugly on this thread.

Welcome to FR! :-D

A pregnant teenager is evidence to the contrary.

We already know Obama woould let his pregnant daughter get an abortion to prevent her "punishment."

Sarah prefers to be "Granny."

Poor BHO — President of the United States of America, and he still has to live with his mother-in-law!

Too funny! I see him going on a lot of overseas trips...

It’s not about her being their nanny. There’s all the help in the world for occupants of the White House. It’s about their emotional stability under very trying circumstances.

Michelle’s going to be too busy telling O what to do. I think she should put the kids in one of those government run day care centers she wants everyone else’s kids to stay in.

Why, what does she have to do?

Stop and consider the class Laura Bush has

I agree. She co-wrote a children's book and gave the proceeds to charity. She works for charitable causes both here and abroad. She encourages literacy and education. Her husband gave up drinking for her. She never comes off as harsh or haughty. That's why I wish the press had given a lady like this some real coverage.

I understand the need for “revenge” so to speak- the thing is I see this as a fight for our country and I would like to see this energy spent doing something worthwhile that will payoff in the future. We need to rebuild the GOP, put conservatives at the top, begin to group up for 2012. This kind of petty stuff just takes attention away from what we need to be doing so we can be ready to take back this country.

I agree, too. Michelle’s Mom has been a huge presence in these girls’ lives. Being a grandma myself, I can see them wanting to continue that close relationship and stability. I can’t fault anyone on this issue.

Hey, my mom did the same thing. I was a hellion with so many many problems, she ended begging my grandmother to retire and help her with me. It’s the best thing that ever that happened to me. Nuclus families of just the mom dad and kids are overrated. I love having massive amount of family around, and me and my brother were better for it (even if they are all liberals).

I’m not going to blame her for asking for help, espically heading into another part of her life that would definaly going to be busy, by just being the first lady duties (now if she wants to co-run the presidancy is why she asking her mother than I have a problem..)
