TVNewser has an exclusive on the final fate of invisible Fox personality E.D. Hill today. Fox has decided not to renew E.D.'s contract, so she will be finally leaving the Fox News Channel after being off the air since June.
Some may remember the left-media storm targeting E. D. Hill that occurred back on June 6 when she off handedly said that Barack and Michelle's on stage fist bump was a "terrorist fist jab." The Huffington Post and Media Matters raised a storm of protest and soon after, E.D. Hill lost her Fox show.
Well, it seems to have taken some time, but as TVNewser reports Fox has announced they are not going to renew Hill's contract when it expires early in 2009.
SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that he "chose not to renew E.D.'s latest contract" but noted that "Hill has been a valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the best."
Hill officially apologized for the remark soon after the incident in June.
More like drama queer.
Before the election, I didn't start one morning without watching Fox & Friends.... which is simply the best, funniest morning show ever.
I haven't had tuned in once since Nov. 4, and probably won't until Jan. 21, 2009.
Somehow my brain can't comprehend watching hard-hitting analysis of the ObamaFraud when he isn't in office yet. It would be like sitting in an empty football stadium three hours before game time.
Plus, I know Brian Kilmead and Steve Doocey are devastated over having to pretend to:
#1 - offer respect and congratulations to pre-eminent America insulter Barack Obama.... and
#2 -- pretend that McCain got shafted when in fact, McCain had no business even running for President in the first place.
And I said, “Personal knowledge”. If you want a source on the ratings check Nielsen.
He’s been getting worse,lately.
Not only is indylindy statment not true, It was a stupid thing for Hill to say
What isn’t true?
brownsfan:does your tagline refer to Phil Savage and Romeo Crennel or Zero?(or all three ;-)
It is always wise to ping someone when you use their name.
Capiche?
Small ratings?
Look at time slots.
I understand it is not in her time slot but I’m glad I haven’t had to make a living on t.v. opposite o’prah.
And I think E.D. was good at assignments but not with her own show.
If you’ve been given your own show and it fails will a network like FOX ask you to step down and become an assignment person again?
Or at that point do you feel ashamed and go to a competator?
Barack and Michelle's on stage fist bump was a "terrorist fist jab."
T-H-E S-T-O-R-Y. Or in other words...T-H-E- A-R-T-I-C-L-E. It is nonsense. Notice the “?” at the end of the headline? It I made up.
Didn’t Laurie go over to the Jeraldo show?
Nice try Fox, but the MSM and all the other lefties will still hate you no matter who you fire........
Agreed, she was something of a has-been at Fox anyway.
Whatever happened to Ashleigh Banfield?
Queen seems to sum it up pretty well.
Her competition wasn't Oprah. Her competition was other cable news shows and the same time slot last year on FOX. She was worse than either. She's gone. Unless FOX feels she'd be valuable somewhere else.
I don't think we will ever get the entire truth about her departure.
