TVNewser has an exclusive on the final fate of invisible Fox personality E.D. Hill today. Fox has decided not to renew E.D.'s contract, so she will be finally leaving the Fox News Channel after being off the air since June.
Some may remember the left-media storm targeting E. D. Hill that occurred back on June 6 when she off handedly said that Barack and Michelle's on stage fist bump was a "terrorist fist jab." The Huffington Post and Media Matters raised a storm of protest and soon after, E.D. Hill lost her Fox show.
Well, it seems to have taken some time, but as TVNewser reports Fox has announced they are not going to renew Hill's contract when it expires early in 2009.
SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that he "chose not to renew E.D.'s latest contract" but noted that "Hill has been a valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the best."
Hill officially apologized for the remark soon after the incident in June.
“brownsfan:does your tagline refer to Phil Savage and Romeo Crennel or Zero?(or all three ;-)”
You’re perceptive. All 3, but I have to add one more. Randy Lerner. The ownership is the one constant in the dismal nature of the new Browns. Randy has an English soccer team that is his passion, the Browns are just a meal ticket.
My screen name was made a few years ago, kind of a misnomer at this point.
Best cover they ever created....I have a stack.

I agree that Shep and Geraldo are the worst. They are actually painful to watch.
What is your personal opinion of E.D. Hill?
I would think there are other issues than purely political most are mentioning.
As I recall, she has 8 kids. She is probably high maintenance, needing personal time to take care of business at home.
Shepard Smith should have been fired long ago.
What a @zzho he is.

Laurie Dhue Leaves FNC
TVNewser has learned Laurie Dhue and Fox News Channel have parted ways. The anchor and FNC management could not agree on a new contract. A Fox News spokesperson tells TVNewser, “Unfortunately, we were unable to come to terms on a new agreement with Laurie. She has been a valued member of FOX News, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.” Dhue has been with Fox for more than seven years, joining in September of 2000. In addition to hosting FNC programs during her tenure, Dhue was also a correspondent on the syndicated version of Geraldo at Large.
Since September she has been working as ombudswoman for The O’Reilly Factor for a segment called “The Dhue Point.” In what would be her last installment Thursday night, Bill O’Reilly told Dhue, “I hope you know, this is my favorite segment of the week.”
Before FNC, Dhue was an anchor at MSNBC and before that, CNN.

This is not the entire story.
Deb, E D Hill was one person that our family enjoyed. She
was able to think for herself. We seem to watch Fox New less and less.
It was my impression that E.D. has been on her way out for a long time. I’m a little surprised that it took this long, frankly. It’s not that I think she’s “bad”. She’s kinda like a “system QB”. She’ll make you look really good in a particular format, but she’s not very versatile.
Just another reason I’m glad I dropped my satellite, Fox isn’t worth it. FR fills the void just fine.
Shame on Fox News!!! The Olbermann’s and Mathews of the world keep rolling along. Fair and balanced........NOT!!
Deb, i didn’t say her competition was o’prey . I said it would be hard going against o’prey with anything.
I’d happily kiss E.D. Hill’s butt....
ED Hill is an idiot anyway. Won’t be missed.
