The attack came in the form of a global virus or worm that is spreading rapidly throughout a number of military networks.

Don’t forget the cyber attack on the World Bank right before the ‘economic meltdown’.

Gentlemen.....can we have a moment to reflect on the real issues?

It serves no purpose to rail at each other and attempt to prove one is better hung than the other.

Let's not give the enemy, foreign and domestic, the satisfaction of picking bits and pieces of seemingly unrelated information and managing to get some silver from a ton of slag.

Besides, Freepers may occasionally fight like family, but we really should be a bit more civil in front of the DU and ChiCom children, eh?

They should use Macs, OSX, because that platform is more stable.

Bad people....unless it's one of ours.

Just folks whose job is to gather information.

Get a copy of the movie "The Company" and it will give you an idea of what an FIO is.

Macs are the best. Plus this news report is being reported on a site that has seen its share of tech problems, this should be seen as a major wake up call.

Sure. My first iMac was a G3 and it overheated. My second one was a G4 and it overheated as well. If yours ever starts shutting down for what appears to be no reason, back up all data immediately. The CPU is shutting down the computer as a safety precaution because of overheating. There are free programs for the Mac that monitor your temperature.

Well, when Apple becomes more popular and used than Windows it will be the target of hackers. The most popular kid on the block always wants to be taken down by others.

I'm surprised they hadn't restricted those before now. Endpoint security and data leakage prevention are the current hot topics in infosec these days.

I have a G4 Power Mac that is 8-years-old and is duel processor. Running OSX has made it stable. The only big problem I had was a harddrive that died on me and needed to be replaced. Otherwise doing fine.

Stupid Pentagon, Macs are so much better. Do I have to resort to graphics to prove my point?

Ugh the news just keeps getting worse and more depressing.

The full implications of that fool Obama being sworn in are hitting me more and more each day and I am very sad. He won’t lift a finger for our aid.

Wow. 130 post before someone brought out that old timeworn 'popularity' canard. I believe that is some kind of record. The size of the installed base has little, if anything to do with making a given system a target for atttack. Google the "witty worm" for more information about that. The fact is, MS-windows is a stinking virus magnet. No other currently used operating system even comes close to it in terms of vulnerabilities.
