Thanks for your input. Going with hand gun first as my first priority is home protection. I especially appreciated your “mistakes” remarks. Whatever, hand gun I buy will have to use ammo compatible with a rifle. It’s been many years since I fired a hand gun or a rifle so I intend to put in as much range time as I can afford.
I’m thinking about joining a hunting club so that I can reacquire my stalking skills.
Thanks again for your comments. Happy Thanksgiving.
Good for you. I bought my first hand gun a couple weeks ago.1911A1 45cal.
My son is buying all the ammo he can before the prices go sky high.
They put two and two together.
A) They heard Obama's live, raw comments, off record (but recorded anyways) in liberal San Francisco about what he REALLY thinks about Americans owning guns;
and
B) They saw the treatment of JOE THE PLUMBER when he spoke up and spoke truth to power.
Most Americans figured out what is in store when the Democrats get ultimate power and they are moving forward quickly to secure one of their prime Constitutional protections.
The fascists and communists who want to destroy this country and take down the middle class better think twice, because they are going to have one hell of a hornet's nest on their hands now if they take any strong, elitist steps toward totalitarianism.
There will be a gun show in a couple of weeks here in Denver. I’ll be very curious to see what the prices are like.
I found it difficult to read the tiny font, but well worth the effort. Thanks for posting that. Confirms my judgment that, despite other financial concerns, I’ve been on a buying spree lately. They’re like tater chips, aren’t they? :o)
More than one dealer I spoke with expressed thanks to Obama for the brisk business, though they turned sour when reminded to enjoy it while it lasts.
I ended up speaking with TWO newbie salesmen at Gander Mountain, both only on their second day of employment there. Took forever to complete that transaction as the boss walked one through the FBI check. At least that fella knew guns, crucial since I have limited knowledge myself. The other hardly knew between handgun and rifle ammunition.
I beg to differ with your assertion about the recent buyers already being armed to the teeth. Heck, even the SALESMEN are newbies, if my experience at Gander Mountain is any indication.
I’ve gone for years with nothing more than a tiny pistol bought back when I worked nights.
[Details redacted] but I assure you I’ve gone on a spree this past week, snapping up the last the stores had of what was on my list.
I assure you, my FRiend, I did not vote for the A-hole Elect. A lot of short-sighted people seem to have done so, unfortunately. Perhaps a tidy profit can be made off them once the Anointed tightens the screws, though it would serve justice to refuse to sell based on whom they voted for.
Clinton did, but many people were not 18 who are now.
I do fear a revolution if these things happen. I’d buy a gun myself if I knew how to use one. No, I probably never will learn. M
I can’t understand why these people didn’t already own guns
Wonder who they voted for
