I probably own more guns and ammo than you do
I repeat my premise
Those buying like mad already are armed to the teeth
These aren’t NEW OWNERS
If they were Obama wouldn’t have been elected to begin with
“These arent NEW OWNERS
“If they were Obama wouldnt have been elected to begin with”
I did not vote for Obama & I intend to be a new gun owner within the next few weeks. I’ve always supported 2nd amendment rights, but never exercised them. Now is the time.
And maybe it’s time for a million man (& woman) march on Washington. I’ll bet a million gun owners walking on D.C. would send a message the dems would understand.
I am a new owner. So are other members of my family. I live on the border of an edgy neighborhood and if things get ugly like LA in ‘92, I know the cops won’t be here to help. They’ll be too busy defending Scottsdale.
374,000 new guns in one week. Or to put it another way, about enough to arm 15 divisions. Nine or ten weeks until the inauguration. If the trend continues that would be about 4 million new firearms in the hands of freedom loving people before they can even start to do anything about it.
I'd like to stay and chat but yesterday was pickup day for my new rifle. Gotta BLOAT.
I agree.
You are correct. Machine guns are not sold to the general public.
The general public doesn’t know how to go through the hoops to get a machine gun.
The general public might be lucky to live in a state that doesn’t ban machine guns.
The general public doesn’t know which gun shop has class three dealers.
The general public doesn’t know the difference between Fully Automatic and Semi-Automatic.
The general public buys their guns at WalMart.
Prices are going crazy. Three weeks ago I purchased two boxes of fifty rounds of Magtech .308. Friday, the price had doubled. The price of firearms has gone up. I saw a new Smith and Wesson .44 Mag for $1,299. I think people realize street fighting may be coming with this clown’s promise of wealth transfer. Many people fear that some of his little brothers will become impatient.
Define “Guns”.
The local gun owner probably owns a handgun or a duck gun.
The gun buyers are after firearms that they never thought of buying if obama would have lost, plus the magazines and ammunition. It’s not overkill. Once these guns, magazines and ammo are off the shelves, they’re gone for good.
Agree.
Class III machine guns cost only two hundred dollars???
Extreme Sarcasm.
What part of the general public can afford a two hundred dollar tax plus a five digit price tag ONLY IF they live in a state where it’s legal?
No, there are quite a few first-timers buying as well.
Last week in East Tennessee I paid $53 for a 50 rd box of Remington M1 Carbine soft point ammo.
As I understand, AP is legal to possess, and legal to sell, except that ATF rules prevent FFLs from selling. It is also illegal to manufacture.
“These arent NEW OWNERS”
Actually, many of them are. I have had several friends buy their first firearm and several dealers I know have said many buyers as of late are first time buyers.
The same type of idiot who wrote, posted today, about a farmer being hit with a .45 Caliber "casing" that was stopped by his cell phone. In other words media types who have no clue what firearms are and what the law reads and other types who know but want to foster panic among ignorant citizens of the US.
Aimsurplus.com is a site with very cheap ammo. They don’t have all calibers, but they do have 9mm, .223 etc, and they don’t carry all brands, some are foreign make, but the ones they do have are cheap, cheaper than midway. Check it out, BTW, I have no affiliation with said site, I am only being friendly to fellow gun owners! Another site that is sometimes cheaper than Midway and others, is cheaperthandirt.com, check ‘em out.
374,000 new guns in one week.
Actually it may be more than that. A while ago I bought a gun, and was interested in another of a different model. The dealer said, one background check will cover both. Get it now and save going through another check. So I did. I wouldn't be surprised if many of those background checks were for multiple purchases.
