ANYONE under 1 year of age could get a Hawaiian birth certificate until 1972.
Department of Health, State of Hawaii ^

Posted on 11/28/2008 2:37:01 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

Who is Eligible to Apply for the Issuance of a Late Birth Certificate in Lieu of a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth?

The Certificate of Hawaiian Birth program was established in 1911, during the territorial era, to register a person born in Hawaii who was one year old or older and whose birth had not been previously registered in Hawaii. The Certificate of Hawaiian Birth Program was terminated in 1972, during the statehood era.

Certified copies of a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth may be requested following the procedures for certified copies of standard birth certificates (see Certified Copies). The eligibility requirements for issuance of a certified copy of a standard birth certificate apply to Certificates of Hawaiian Birth. And the same fees charged for standard birth certificates are charged for Certificates of Hawaiian Birth. Copies of the set of testimony used to establish a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth may also be requested, and an additional fee is charged for each copy of the set of testimony.

Any person to whom a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth has been issued may submit a request to amend an entry, including a legal change of name, on an existing Certificate. A request to amend a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth will, however, be considered to be and treated as an application with the Department of Health for registration of a late certificate of birth in current use, unless a standard birth certificate for that person already exists in the vital records of the Department of Health. Should there be a situation of dual registration, the requested amendment will be made to the standard birth certificate on file if the required documentary evidence in support of the amendment has been submitted and evaluated to be adequate. If there is no standard birth certificate on file, an applicant is required to submit documentary evidence of the birth facts necessary to support of the registration of the late certificate of birth. If approved, the late birth certificate will be registered in place of the Certificate of Hawaiian Birth, which must then be surrendered to the Department of Health.

Nice try ... misdirection penalty on you. The Governor did not seal Obama’s papers, they are sealed for all on record, to prevent ID theft. The Republican Governor made no special ‘sealing’ for the Marxist squirrel. That piece of Obama disinformation has been floated and shot down here at FR several times now. Didn’t you know?

Thanks for the link to the newspaper. Like most conspiracies, this one looks like bunk as well. The paper seems to confirm that.

Yes, there was a birth notice in the paper. But it doesn’t really prove anything. Stanley Ann Dunham was a slipper customer, as well as a communist, and was perfectly capable of sending in a false announcement, which no one would have checked.

Then why, for the sake of Aluminum Ore prices, are Obama’s birth records sealed by order of the Govenor of Hawaii? Why would anyone’s birth records be ordered sealed by the govenor of any state? Can you provide us ‘tin hats’ just one reason?

Hawaii state officials say that Obama's records are treated just the same as everyone else's and that the governor did not get involved.

Hawaii apparently treats BC’s very differently

Especially, when dealing with a flaming liberal who is "the first black president". I know the governor of Hawaii is a Republican, but she is a lefty Republican and could she have been offered something during Obama's visit the week before the election? We will know, if she ends up in his cabinet or suddenly her wealth grows exponentially<<< not that we will ever know that.

Have you seen the birth announcement in the local paper in Hawaii from a few days after the birth certificate?

Yes.

But that is not proof of anything other than the fact that someone gave the newspaper the information and they printed it. Anyone, usually a family member, can pass the birth announcement to a newspaper and they will print it. That's even more true of those days than than today.

Like most conspiracies

lol, oh, come on. This one has a lot more raw meat than "most conspiracies". You have to admit that. All the dude has to do is release his records. He won't.

I see announcements from that paper for events that took place from July 30 to August 10th. While Im not a big “Birth Certificate issue” supporter, I do enjoy following the debate.

How does the August 4th date mentioned in this personal ad prove or disprove the location of Obamas birth? Does anyone know what date Obamas mom arrived back in Hawaii from Kenya?

Thanks!

It may be a dead end for you, but not for Obama. He has spent $800k and a lot of time to avoid showing one document that would put this all to rest, once and for all.

Ok, this is a really honest question, but has anyone actually gone to a Hawaiian library to check that the newspaper announcement was legit? With all the other forgeries going on with this case and as easy as it is to fake a web picture, some Hawaiian Freeper needs to do this.

Obama’s “birth certificate” - the devil’s in the details
The “Certificate of Hawaiian Birth” is a portion of the Hawaiian “birth certificate” program that family members may have used to register a young Barack Obama as a US Citizen, during the era Hawaii was transitioning from being a US territory to statehood.

For the purposes of this article, it should be noted that there are several different types of “birth certificates” that Hawaii uses to show proof of birth:

- Certification of Live Birth
- Certificate of Live Birth
- Certificate of Delayed Birth
- Certificate of Hawaiian Birth

Another very important point to note is that a “Certification of Live Birth” is an abbreviated version of the birth record on file with the Hawaiian Department of Health. The root document(s), could be: a) a true “Certificate of Live Birth”; b) a “Late Birth Certificate” with or without modifications; or c) a “Certificate of Hawaiian Birth.”

Things do not have to be true to have them printed in the paper.

There are no Hospital or Doctor records to substantiate the announcement.

The Hospital he claims to have been born in, was not built until after his berth.

There is a paper written by his Law firm that says the "natural born" clause should be dropped from the Constitution, so his guys have known for a long time that the "natural born" thingy was a problem.

I don't think your post is relevant to Obama, simply because his birth was, in all likelihood, registered in Hawaii well before he turned one year old, most probably days after his birth. The registration of the birth in Hawaii, however, does not rule out the possibility that he was born in Kenya, because Hawaii law allowed resident adults to register out of state births of children under one year with state authorites - and apparently still does.

"Sounds like a catch-up for unregistered Hawaiian births, not just any Tom, Dick, or Barry."

That was my interpretation of it too.

Did it say where he was born? Anyone can publish a birth announcement. Hardly a legal document.
