thats just how it is.

unless you are saying that if a president is impeached, then all laws he signed are invalid?

if we find out today that Bush lied to the people before he was elected and should have been removed from office in 2001, it will NOT affect any law that he signed.

why? coz bush does not make laws. Congress does.

all that bush’s office does is sign them for records.

I'm not a constitutional scholar, but I don't think you're right about that. I think that if he turns out being illegitimate then his acts are null and void as well.

But it's not really important. All that's needed is the suspicion of illegitimacy for him to be challenged in court. Someone's almost certain to do that, and if so he'll need to respond or large portions of the population (like the military) will reject his authority.

I think you can bank on it.
