With your experience, why do you think that the Director of the Health Department issued the statement that she did issue which led the media to conclude that without revealing the exact contents of what was on the “vault copy” certificate, that it was indeed on file and in accordance with Hawaii statutes?
Do you think that it might be against the law in Hawaii to post a forged Certificate of Live Birth on the internet containing the name of the Registrar of Vital Statistics?
I’m betting that it might be.
I have no experience beyond any other average citizen’s with governmental administrative procedures. I work as a college professor.
If you are right, then why does no major conservative publication or writer agree with you? National Review, Weekly Standard, Washington Times, Fox News, none of them. Are they blind? Are they in on the conspiracy? Why are they silent on this?
As an example, Michelle Malkin is a fire-breathing take-no-prisoners conservative writer and commentator. I’m not saying she’s right on anything, but when she says there’s nothing to the Obama birth certificate thing you have to take that into account.
Just please consider these things.

I asked you to post the logic she used in her argument. You couldn’t. An appeal to our betters who have not chosen to grace the question with their approval doesn’t actually sound that convincing to me. I don’t need Michelle Malkin, or Rush Limbaugh to form my opinions. I can do that all by myself.
I happen to believe that there is a better than even chance that he was in fact born in Hawaii. The distinct possibility that he may not have been born there however, is enough that I believe the question should be addressed. That means the constitution should be followed, and it mean that he should prove his eligibility for the office of the Presidency.
Those are not outrageous demands for an honest man.

It would have be ok for her to say they have his original Hawaiian birth certificate on record, because that would not be revealing anything in the record. It is telling that she didn't say that. If she had mentioned anything else, it would have been violating the law by revealing the contents of his record ( a foreign BC is submitted as part of the record when applying for a Certificate of Birth ). As far as how the media interprets things, she can't be held responsible for that.

TOTALLY. That is what this whole controversy is about. It was not the State of Hawaii that posted the image of the COLB. It was the Obama campaign.
Thanks, I’ve seen those. I really do try to see/read everything I can get my hands on. I have also read other source which do not support Donofrio/Berg et al. Important to have as much information as possible.
Ok, fine, I give up. You’re right, Obama was really born in Kenya but there’s a massive conspiracy to keep it all secret. Involved in the conspiracy are most all conservative authors, writers, and news outlets. But you, and a few others, brilliantly see through it all.
So go ahead and waste your time obsessing over this issue.

Look, I’ve stopped posting on these threads because while you think this is something to pursue, I think it’s not a good idea. In my opinion if you are born in this country regardless of your parent’s status, you are American end of story. This has always been the case hence anchor babies...you can not change the rules because our guy lost. That being said, everyone has a right to their opinion.
That's the difference. You are arguing opinion. We are arguing the Constitution and the law. The latter matters. The former (yours or mine) ultimately doesn't. We debate, then? Because we (or at least some of us) are tying to work through what the LAW actually says and how it actually applies here.

No, that is NOT how it has "always been." That is one of the topics we've discussed here. The rules for becoming a "natural born citizen" have changed over time. That's one of the issues -- which laws apply, the ones in effect when the Obamanation was born (most likely) or the ones in effect now. And we aren't "changing the rules," unless there is some secret cabal that has used a time machine to change the language of the Constitution.
That being said, everyone has a right to their opinion.

If you are not aware that those are Obama supporters and very biased sources then you have not been following the argument. FactCheck and Politifact have been debunked numerous times and I am not going to do it again. Check any thread where they are dealt with and you will see what I mean. What they present is flat out wrong. Factcheck.org is tied to Annenberg and Obama has many long time close ties to Annenberg.

Where were you the last two years? Off in the jungles of Borneo? I ask because if you had been anywhere near a TV, computer or radio you would be aware of hundreds of unanswered and unasked questions regarding Barack Obama.
The media could charitably be described as grovelling sycophants regarding Bill Ayers, Rev Wright and other issues. What about John Edwards and his extra-curricular activities while running for President as the ‘family man’?
What kind of crazy person would believe the media was involved in a conspiracy of silence regarding that issue? So she wanted the birth certificate released and then suddenly she doesn’t. It was an important and legitimate issue that can easily be dealt with by having the birth certificate released from Hawaii, but now we should all just shut up. David Horowitz flat out says who cares if Obama wasn’t born in the US.
The lot of them can go pound salt. I believe in evidence and logic and the preponderance of evidence suggests that Obama is clearly hiding something he considers important. The evidence that he puts forth to dispute any allegations is always released into the hands of those who are friendly to him, or with a vested interest in his victory. There is hearsay evidence that he was born in Kenya and very little evidence he was born in Hawaii.
Why should I credit the weakest evidence presented under suspicious circumstances just because the media has blessed the Hawaii story?
