What did Obama know ... and when did he know it?

The corruption arrest of Gov. Rod Blagojevich is raising questions about what Sen. Barack Obama knew of the Illinois Democrat's alleged activities, including his apparent offer to appoint Obama's preferred candidate to serve in the U.S. Senate in return for "private sector" help from Obama.

"This is a burgeoning crisis for Obama that should shake his presidency to its core," said Tom Fitton, chief of the Judicial Watch organization today.

"The criminal complaint filed today indicates that Obama and his team knew about Blagojevich's efforts to sell Obama's Senate seat," he said.

"Did Obama report Blagojevich to investigators about any efforts to sell his Senate seat?" Fitton asked.

ABC's Jake Tapper also expressed concern over the same issue.

On his blog, he wrote that while appearances seem to indicate Obama "refused to go along with the 'pay to play'" Blagojevich plan, there were significant questions.

For example, he wondered "how Blagojevich knew that Mr. Obama was not willing to give him anything in exchange for the Senate seat – with whom was Blagojevich speaking? Did that person report the governor to the authorities?"

I don't know. But the Clintons sure as hell do.

Obama probably only bumped into the Governor once or twice and never really knew him or talked to him. Good enough for the MSM.

Blagojevich mum on possible successors to Obama
Chicago Tribune (IL) - Friday, October 31, 2008
Author: Rick Pearson and Monique Garcia, TRIBUNE REPORTERS

Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Thursday cited the potential for bad “karma” and avoided discussing potential Senate successors to Barack Obama should the Democratic nominee win the White House, but acknowledged he has a process in mind for making the most important appointment of his career.

“I just don’t want to jinx him and I don’t like the karma of me thinking that far ahead,” Blagojevich said of Obama ‘s prospects in Tuesday’s election. The governor added, “We have had some discussions about a process which we’ll share ... if all goes well.”

A thought just occurred to me and I want to share it here. Given that America is at war (American troops are deployed in the war on terror, Iraq, and Afghanistan), is it wise to go for this agenda of attempting to hamstring Mr. Obama?

Let’s say that the eligibility question is resolved, and Mr. Obama’s presidency is known to be legitimate beyond reasonable doubt. In the current state of war, how can we support the Commander-in-Chief and at the same time relentlessly go after his corruption, ties to terrorists, etc?

Your thoughts appreciated.

I don’t think you can turn a looney tunes Serb so easily. The question I have always had is why we allowed Ted Kennedy to change our immigration policy?

Make no mistake that Chicago politics stinks to high heaven.

It won't, the MSM has already decided Barak "the redeemer of America" is innocent.

This wire snippet says it all... 'In a Nov. 11 phone conversation with an aide, Blagojevich talked at length about "Candidate 1" and said he knew that Obama wanted her for the open seat but "they're not willing to give me anything except appreciation. (Expletive) them."...... One day later, Jarrett, a Chicago businesswoman who is one of three co-chairmen of Obama's transition team and was a high-level adviser to his presidential campaign, made it known that she was not interested in the seat.'

Somebody in Obama's camp was talking with the Gov and they had no clue that the FEDs were listening in. There's probably a couple of sweaty palms around the 'Office of President Elect'. LOL

“how can we support the Commander-in-Chief and at the same time relentlessly go after his corruption, ties to terrorists, etc?”

President Bush managed to do pretty well, even with half the nation against him. Hussien is just going to have to make do. Plus, I don't think the ONE will have to worry about conservatives boycotting recruiting stations and all the other garbage the left occupied itself with over the last 6 years.

I would, however, pay $10.00 to see what would happen if some moonbat stuck her “Bloody Hands” in S.O.S. Hillary's face like they did Condi’s.

When Clinton was in office, just about everybody he took with him to Washington or left behind in Arkansas was convicted of something, including the then Governor of Arkansas, and now Obama get’s elected and apparently everybody he was connected with in Illinois is going to jail.

The media and the Democrats managed to fool America into believing that the Clinton’s were the only clean politicians from Arkansas, and now the media and the Democrats actually want America to believe the Obama is the only clean politician from Illinois.

It’s a hoot.
