U.S. Senate Republicans are not planning to try and use procedural maneuvers to delay passage of a proposed $789 billion economic stimulus bill, the party's leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, said on Wednesday.

McConnell said there was a widespread feeling in the minority party that they "ought to vote and move on." He spoke after congressional negotiators said they had reached a deal on the massive package of spending and tax cuts to try and rescue the flailing economy.

Seems like the movie, “No Country for Old Men” may have some truth to the title.

Without GOP P R O C E D U R A L obstruction, watch how many DIMS abandon this package in both the House and the Senate.

You wanna vote? Let's have a vote!

So tell me, what is Mitch supposed to do, they had the 3 RINOS on TV, between them an IQ of 100 would have been generous, and they made it clear that they intended to F*** America regardless.

Mitch is supposed to be raising hades! Heaping a ton of whoopass on Sphincter, Collins, and Snowe! He should be doing anything and everything to STOP this POS bill!

For goodness sakes, these people just suck shinola!

The government is guaranteeing untold amounts of debt on the full faith and credit of the United States. Previously, when times called for it, more and more treasury bills were sold. China has bought up a buttload of them. However, even China isn't buying them any more. Now we are left with empty promises not backed up by real value. In short, there will be money, but there is no value behind it. Here's where rampant inflation comes it ---government printing money on worthless paper. Prices go up because of too many worthless dollars chasing too few goods (that people are willing to take worthless paper for).....

In the last century before WWII Germans did this --- their citizens ended up burning the paper to keep warm......

Howdy everyone! Just have a minute. I’m in between flights at the Dallas airport. Looks like we need to continue calling and emailing. Need to contact all senators, especially McConnell. This is unacceptable. If our elected Republican representatives are not going to fight for our freedom, then what the hell good are they? Let them have it right between the eyes!!

HE leads a coalition in the Senate and is not dictator. If I were him, I would be doing what you say, but only caucus votes can make changes.

Steele could be raising hell with no consequences, and saying quietly to the RINOs, you vote for, your funds from the RNC are disappeared, permanently. That's what the donks do, they cut off party support. That way, no one is the wiser until they are gone.

That's why I said, I doubt anybody has the balls to take decisive action.

The American people gave Obama the job by a pretty comfortable margin, they elected 58 Democrats to the Senate and a clear majority to the House.

They have their say once every 2 years, this is what they said they wanted.

Any polls against the this or that stimulus are bogus. The poll that counted was last Nov 4th.

“— Mitch is a poor leader and spokesperson. —

He’s comfortably elite, and believes that federal government is a force for good.”

Absolutely. The same Leadership thieves who robbed the Treasury over the past 8 years should have been expunged from their Leadership positions.

I screamed it and screamed it. McConnell will roll over like the dog that he is. We needed new blood.

Now it’s too late.

They will take absolutely no retaliation on the Liberal 3 that sold us out...because they gave great cover for these Statists.

Take them off their Committe positions NOW.

I'm with you.

The insurance companies will love being able to say the 'Government' won't okay a procedure. Takes the liability off them and the medical community at large.

Unless, of course, the government finds a way to reward the trial lawyers.

I'm sure a lot of people who know just how bad Social Security is will also be pleased at being able to use dead people to backstop the problems there.

Life sucks.

Getting old was suppose to lead to the “Golden Years”. Now it’s leading to a “Golden Shower” compliments of my own government (state and fed).

McConnell and his wife are perennial Washington insiders. He forgot about the peoples interests a long time ago.
