>Have you actually looked at the state of politics these days? Given what you know, what would you do and tell me why you think it would work.

I think that since your solution would kill thousands and disrupt the country into complete chaos (that’s what armed revolution does, in case you didn’t know) I think you better tell us what the plan is when the blood starts soaking the soil. But okay.

There are several non-violent solutions. I think the key is the states. Principled leaders like Jindal can lead their states to a sane course and show a better way by example.

Other ways include continuing to put pressure on lawmakers. March. Organize. Run for office.

I can’t believe we are only in a month of Zero’s rule and you guys immediately think that a bloody revolution is the way to go? Is the imagination so bereft on our side? Do you guys even KNOW what a bloody revolution means in this day and age? It ain’t no video game.

I doubt there is anyone here hoping that an armed revolution is the only option.

There is nothing wrong with being prepared. This kind of talk is the beginning of preparedness.

>How’s this for a plan? We build a government that is bound by the Constitution.

That’s your plan for after the revolution, build a government bound by the Constitution?

That’s great. No, it really is. That’s a wonderful goal.

So. Who will be killed? Who will be saved? How do you keep the food and essential supplies flowing in the midst of chaos and people who now feel like they are not bound by law but by the fact that they have a gun in their hands? How will order be restored? Who will decide who leads? How do you prevent a strongman with the biggest militia force to lay down the rules — which may not include the august wisdom of the Constitution but merely a lust for power?

THIS is the stuff the Founding Fathers thought about before declaring independence.

Have YOU or your buddies thought about it?

Yes, we know.

Right now, momentum is on Obama’s side and he’s taking us past the point of no return. With the rising illegal alien population and the lower standards and the indoctrination of the educational system, I don’t believe that things can be turned around by conventional means.

So how is your plan working for you in California?

Please read what I wrote, and maybe learn a little history, instead of insulting me.

The Founding Fathers thought about the consequences of revolution and made plans for a post-revolutionary government. And remember they were helped by having an enemy based on the other side of a hard-to-cross ocean. Where’s our enemy? And who are you going to kill first? And how are you going to prevent a totalitarian strongman from grabbing control?

I’m not seeing ANY of that thinking from you and your friends, just a bunch of talk about breaking out the guns and watering the ground with the blood of Americans. This is not a movie. Okay?

In California, we were betrayed by our RINO governor.

The states where the peaceful revolution will come from are the ones refusing porkulus money. That’s why I mentioned Jindal.

RE: While we’re all going to be financially hurting under a larger dose of socialism, Glenn Beck’s paranoid fantasies remind me of the moonbats who believed 911 was an inside job, felt we invaded Iraq so Bush can get rich off oil, and other childish fictions.

Before I know it, we’ll be talking about Vince Foster. This entire country is stuck on stupid, including the conservatives. I know people in troubled times like to think there are stronger powers in play behind the scenes, but this is ridiculous and stupid.

Now, go ammo up for ‘Murica! Yeeeehaw cowboy! Ugh.

I guess I used to get a little prone to believing conspiracy theories. Amazing as it is, when I read/hear the writings and statements of leftwing groups and individuals and then saw exactly what they've accomplished I admit that I tend to get a little paranoid.

However after drinking the Kool Aid, I now understand that ACORN, Code Pink, MoveOn.org, CAIR, CPUSA, Handgun Control, Brady Campaign, Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, George Soros and so many, many others really know what's best for America. They really just want a better, more prosperous, safer, freer country.

I know they don't really mean what they say, as words have no meaning and actions have no consequences.

So let's not be deceived by David Horowitz's DiscovertheNetworks.org or ETL's voluminous FreeRepublic homepage. Of Course, they're just delusional conspiracy theorists.

Gotta run, time for my afternoon dose of KoolAid. I can feel the last dose wearing off. And I do so love this month's flavor of government cheese with my cherry KoolAid. Have you tried it, or do you still prefer grape?

As for your comment: "Now, go ammo up for ‘Murica! Yeeeehaw cowboy! Ugh."

I've always preferred, "Semper Fi, Do or Die!" Urrrah!!

Huh? Gun broker is just a website that allows you to see what is offered by thousands of different sellers, and bid the price you are willing to pay.

They set no prices on anything, and you have to keep checking in to find the good deals as the come in.

GB is an online auction site; as such, there are set prices or reserves on nearly everything.

(prices per 1000 rounds)
Palmetto Armory: M855 $422 shipped M193 $382 shipped
Wideners: M855 $442 shipped M193 $378 shipped
Gun Broker.com M855 $585-749 w/out shipping
M193 $419-579 w/out shipping

No contest. Spend some time shopping around, and there are plenty of suppliers out there. On any weapons forum, GB prices are the butt of many routine jokes.

Won’t do us much good, what with the downturn in the economy and states like OH, PA, FL, NM, CO, NV becoming increasingly blue.

And now Obama wants control of the census for redistricting purposes.

If Obama gets what he wants in the next 4 years it will set us back 50.

Something to consider: When panic talk about Year 2000 was in the air, one sheriff in Iowa proposed calling up all CCW holders in his county and deputizing them. AFAIK, it never went anywhere but it got a few headlines. Might even have been an Urban Legend.

So . . . the Governor, or some other authority calls out the militia (unorganzied) to help in quelling unrest. How many are willing to go to God Knows Where and leave their wives and children alone when that call comes?

It gives you a better idea of what the men in the Revolution had to deal with.

Great point. How much are we Americans who are loyal to the Constitution willing to sacrifice to save our nation and protect our families?

For too many of us, it seems we think we have done more than enough if we just go to the polls and vote every 4 years or so for the lesser of 2 evils.

Your posts kind of bring John fraud Kerry’s comments about our troops terrorizing villages in the night to mind.

The founding Fathers had little to no authority to do anything much at the time of the revolution. They plodded along on hope and prayer mostly, and could not even muster the authority to feed and supply the continentals and the militia. They knew that they would likely lose all, and even die for the cause of liberty.

They did know what they wanted, and fortunately through their thinking we also know (http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html).

There was practically nothing in place at the time of the revolution in terms of government on the side of the colonists, we were under British rule after all. They did have a base of business and agriculture as do we, and I admit it may be harder for us to move food. (This assumes that food is moving. I wonder after reading some thoughts from those involved in agriculture here.)

We do have something that the colonists did not have back then.

You said: “THIS is the stuff the Founding Fathers thought about before declaring independence. Have YOU or your buddies thought about it?”

OUR FOUNDING FATHERS ALREADY THOUGHT ABOUT THIS FOR US, and they told us what must happen if the government is usurped, and plainly reinforced the fact that our GOD given right to bear arms is the way to rest our nation from the usurpers if it comes to it.

They told us that blood must refresh the tree of liberty from time to time.

What would be worse, an entire great nation of liberty reduced to bread lines, gulags, and state atheism under communists, or that refreshing that the Founding Fathers warned us about?

I wonder how you would have felt back then.

I'm sure David Koresh's colony...late of Waco Texas...thought the same thing.

If two or three other groups like the Davidians had gotten torched in the weeks prior to the attack on the Davidians, the ATF crew would have had to either show up with tanks, a profoundly bad PR move, or they would have had their heads handed to them on platters as soon as they pulled off the highway.

You think it will be *easier* to fix things with bloody revolution than political action and activism?

Holy moses. You have to be kidding me. Do you even know what revolution *is*? In a modern first-world nation with centralized food production and distribution, not to mention basic amenities like power and sewage? There’s a reason revolutions only happen in turd world nations, buddy.

Personal insults do exactly nothing to bolster your case.

They didn’t just wing it. Read some history. They understood the consequences and debated it before signing the Declaration. They were mindful of what would happen. They evaluated the risks and reward. They made strategic battle plans. They secured alliances with friendly factions. You guys have done none of this, indeed, you don’t even think you need to.
