Regarding salty talk aimed at the president (or other officials) vs visits from the SS
March 5, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 03/05/2009 12:43:09 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Unfortunately, we are saddled with a communist sympathizer in the White House. I don't know whether or not he's an actual card carrying commie, but he's definitely an America-hating, anti-capitalist Marxist leftist who thinks communism is the way to go. Now I remember when America used to fight against communism. It wasn't that long ago. Many of us on FR are veterans of wars against communism and some of us believe that American citizens who are communists are the enemy within, ie, the domestic enemy we've sworn to defend against. American citizen? hmmmm... that may be a loophole for Obama.

At any rate, the oath is to defend our constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I can imagine that this places an enormous strain on our Secret Service agents. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that Obama is an enemy of the constitution. So should the SS defend the constitution or defend the anti-constitution commie?

So now comes the problem. If you feel it's your duty to call Obama a traitor and use salty language in your proposed resolution, ie, suggest the commie be keelhauled, walked off the plank, run up the yardarm, tarred and feathered and run out of Dodge, etc, etc, etc, you may be facing a visit from your friendly Secret Service. And even though your visiting agent may agree politically, and may take his oath to the constitution seriously, he's still sworn to protect the officeholder and it's his duty to take all threats seriously. And that may include serving me with a subpoena to turn over your IP address. Now I'm duty bound to protect your privacy to the best of my ability, but I cannot defend against stupidity.

Best advice I can give is to keep it to yourself. Don't post anything that may embarrass you later, or end you up in the slammer.

Ever vigilant.

Keep your powder dry.

So the question is do we defend the Constitution by speaking out against Obambi at all or do we continue to let him trample on the Constitution to stay out of jail?

*THAT* is a question we must each decide individually. I know where I stand, where my personal "line in the sand" is, but I cannot, and will not, assume the same for anyone else. I have expressed that line here before, and thus the SS likely knows all about it, so I'll not repeat it again, as it would serve no useful purpose.

What I will do, however, is continue to ride this particular car, for as long as I am able to, fall fair, or fall foul...

Doubt I’ve made any more mistakes on my taxes than the average Obama presidential appointee.

LOL!! Probably far fewer, Jim...

And when the time comes, Act - with courage and moral certainty.

This is what a man (or woman), father (or mother), and citizen worthy of the name does. This is what defines maturity. And should it fall foul for me, in the end, then I choose to die as I have lived, faithful to my God, loyal to my country, and true to my own sworn word. Nobody could ask for a better end...

Well, okay. I guess...

So far, I’ve only threatened to not render life-saving assistance should our current president be in need of it.

(If you’re gonna dream, dream big. Or passive-aggressive, at least.)

Me being an inept, unbadged civilian in such matters and all, and not to be trusted with a gun, nevermind a bandaid, I might manage to misapply the tape across his lips instead of on his booboo, or something incompetent like that.

Right, Jim, we can't post anything threatening about any politicians; we can't wish bad things upon them, like hoping their plane crashes, or anything like that.

We do still have rhetorical tools at our disposal, and ridicule seems to have the greatest potential.

However, there are a few areas where we must still walk cautiously. If you are a person whose spine gets weak at the whisper of the "racist" canard, you should always be careful to make it clear that you are only ridiculing the "white" 50% of Zer0, not the side of him that he shows.

But if you're one of those "sticks and stones" kinda people, you may feel free to (occasionally) stoop to the same gutter level of criticism that we've seen over at DU and Daily KOS; for example, if Bush was gibed as "Chimpy McHitler" (as he was), there's no barrier to you adapting the moniker "Chimpy McStalin" for Zer0.

But believe me, a "president" whose plan for fighting terror is to try to make buddies with the "moderates" among the Taliban is going to be provide us with enough fodder for ridicule that we can discredit him and his cronies well enough to take back Congress in 2 years.

But remember, no threats against Chimpy McStalin, OK? ;)

Does this mean we can’t call him the anti-Christ anymore?

“Does this mean we can’t call him the anti-Christ anymore?”

I think you can. After all, the questions continue as to whether he is legally allowed to hold the office of President. Does he really meet the constitutional requirements to be the Commander in Chief? I don't think so.

Until credible evidence is shown that he meets the constitutional requirements to be President I will continue to refer to him as Barack Hussien Obama aka Barry Soetoro. I will take my chances that if I say something derogatory about him I am not saying it about a President who is even constitutionally eligible to be in the White House.

I am now waiting to hear if US Attorney Jeffrey Taylor or Attorney General Eric Holder will move to settle this eligibility issue and call for answers on behalf of all American citizens and for the good of the nation.

Jim, truer words were never spoken.
Amazing how seeming "anonymity" seems to trigger the "stupid gene" in so many people.

By the way, I am on FR daily and managed to miss this thread. Perhaps you have some influence with the self-appointed posting police?

The Boss* posted this thread a couple weeks ago, but given the daily growth of this national CF, it seems prudent to give it an occasional fubØmp.

Yikes! Thanks for 'update/warning'. Do wonder; how often they knocked on the 'door' at DU when President Bush's name was denigrated. And still is - as we speak.

Given the opportunities of the 'net'; and Obama's penchant for offense; there can be little doubt that he is personally vested in getting even greater control here. Perhaps; greater speed and context here; when Obama is certain he can cancel 2012 Election.

Kind of speaks volumes when “someone” can get themselves elected, who makes Bill Clinton look like a patriot!

Yeah but the Bible says that if we pray blessings for our enemies it is like heaping hot coals upon their head.

...so, um we would get in trouble for this too?
