Who can be against affordable, quality health care? Want easy access to the doctor of your choice? Who doesn't? And who can say no to better innovations in medicine and medical devices?
Get used to these rhetorical queries. As the health care reform debate cranks up in the coming months, advocacy groups will spend millions of advertising dollars waging a public relations war of words to try to sway the American public - as well as Capitol Hill and the White House.
At stake is a multibillion-dollar industry poised for an unprecedented overhaul at the hands of President Obama and his Democratic allies in Congress.
"Clearly, any change in health care policy will impact each of us ... so our plan is to make sure the American public knows what's going on," said Richard L. Scott, chairman of Conservatives for Patients' Rights, which on Tuesday launched its first multimedia ad buy in a yearlong campaign he said may cost him $20 million.
Mr. Scott, who made a fortune running the Columbia Hospital Corp. and who supports free-market principles in health care, said ad campaigns such as his play a pivotal role in helping influence the voting public.
"While Congress will be voting on this, and the president will sign a bill, I believe it's the American public that will decide what the bill is going to have in it," Mr. Scott said.

Doubt it. The public didn't decide what was in the TARP bailout or the porkulus bill. In fact, we decided we didn't want either, but they ignored us. What makes this guy think they will listen to us this time around?

If it did there would be someplace on the planet were it was in existance. There isn’t...
You can have affordable healthcare or you can have quality healthcare.
Now you can have better healthcare at more reasonable cost then we have but that is a diffferent animlathen the Socvuialist Government is proposing..
The easy answer to all the government supplied medicine cheerleaders is “ Try your luck at the VA hospital and get back to me about your fine gov’t healthcare.”
The model already exists here. No one wants to mention it though, for various reasons.

They say 43 million Americans have no health care. A third are illegal aliens, a third can afford to pay and don’t want to there waiting for the government to do it and a third would not be refused at any medical facility in America if they needed care. Get the #’s right, yes we do need to fix things within the system but when insentive is removed so goes the quality. If this passes it will be the albatrose around our neck for all time.
But, bottom line, there is no free lunch no matter how long Ozeronation keeps pushing it, and he will until the nation is bankrupt or he is stopped.
It's our job to stop him with the light of truth on our side!!

The liberals don’t have a clue on how the system works and will kill the golden goose of medical advancement. It will be the end of new and improved treatments.
I’m really starting to wonder what this great country will look like when this helplessly over reached fool get done with it.
Which is why some of us “tin-foil hat, wingnut birthers” tried to throw up a roadblock before the election—and are still trying. Zer0’s past betrayed his evil intentions.
Or, if it takes too long to get into a VA facility just go to a native American facility. Or perhaps a nearby prison.
