My son graduated from MCRDSD in Oct 2001. On 20th birthday, April 18, 2003, he was landing in Kuwait City. Sun, sand, a government provided dune buggy (Hummer) with a belt fed weapon and free food. What more could you ask for your birthday? Man.... Talk like that nearly makes me want to enlist.

Ah yes.....hearing this Grunt reflect on his observations, convinces me that at the core, it’s STILL the Corps.
Somehow, the Marine Corps has perfected the technique for altering the DNA of every recruit who can graduate from MCRD and wear the Eagle, Globe and Anchor....
They become proud Grunts in the truest traditions of a proud warrior clan.
