I'm about to circulate this to all the conservative blogosphere and would like feedback here first...
On Saturday, March 28, 2009, my family and I went to the Wal-Mart in Long Beach California. In front of the store, a man handed me one of these cards:
To be honest, I actually glanced at the one he handed me, ripped it into tiny pieces, threw it back at him and loudly said "over my dead body, Pal!"
I know that conservative Tea Parties are being planned nation-wide on April 15th and other dates. I myself plan to participate in the one in Redondo Beach.
I feel strongly that what we are currently witnessing in America is no less than a global, socialist coup d'état by those in the highest offices of our government and most sacred institutions. I can clearly see the dismantling of our Constitution being funded by labor unions, the brianwashing of our youth by radical forces in the hallowed halls of our Universities, and a complicit voice by a negligent, partisan media.
These Tea Parties are mere baby steps in our attempts to preserve the liberties that the current administration seems hell-bent on relegating to their own twisted dust bin of history. But you have to start somewhere.
It occurs to me that the people who printed that attached card also believe that you have to start somewhere. But I shudder to envision the America my children will have to endure if these people have their way. Surely there exists a majority sentiment in the United States that THEY MUST BE STOPPED IN THEIR TRACKS.
So would it not be just as important (if not moreso) for those in our conservative movement to "crash" THEIR parties in addition to holding our own? It seems so bizarre to have to point out in my lifetime that anti-capitalist forces are gaining a foothold in the hearts of the populous. And it MUST fall to us to walk right into the hives if we are to enlighten our neighbors and illuminate the evils of their twisted view of their "perfect" society.
Right now, I'm not seeing or hearing ANYONE pointing out how destructive Socialism has been to the communities that have embraced it FROM THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD TO LIVE WITH IT. Surely there are myriad stories that can be given a real face. Real people who have seen the horrors and enslavement of people in countries where fear is the only motivation to productivity, and all aspirations to excel and achieve are choked by Socialism.
Right now, we seem to be thrusting headlong towards our worst fears. That stupid card, if not counteracted by real facts IS WORKING! Frustrated and angry people are being shown this road as being the best solution to our current economic woes. And in their ignorance, vulnerability and desperation, they are BELIEVING IT!.
For the sake of our nation, let's please show up to this (and any other Socialist) event with our OWN cards, flyers and posters. Those attending must leave KNOWING that their efforts will be in vain. We will NOT yield our liberties to their bondage.
Our collective message will reach Washington when our shameless mainstream media decides our Tea Parties are newsworthy. And so far, I'm not holding my breath.
But a gullible citizen from one city over walking into this campus looking for "hope and change" is more likely to snap to their senses if greeted by a brochure which chronicles the evils of Socialism.
Shame on us for getting to the point where an average guy like me has to beg his brethren to evangelize on the behalf of Democracy and the freedoms our forefathers fought and died to uphold. But I implore you to spread the word of this meeting and show up armed with truth and patriotic fervor.
If you cannot understand that Obama is the Dark One, not literally because he has African blood, but the usurper, the liar and the one who wants a New World Order with a Marxist overlay to control all of the world’s natural and human resources.
The Left wants to resurrect the USSR.

I hate to rain on your parade, and I truly agree. I just think that it is much later than we think. Let me explain.
Yesterday, my husband was a judge at a National History Day competition. He was judging webpage designs. The one that was the best was about Margaret Sanger, the founder of PP! There was no way to disqualify it on the basis of subject matter, as it was done exactly by the book, the best one there. Another one was about Karl Marx and what a great guy he was and how his dreams are finally coming to fruition...isn’t that wonderful! These kids have already been brainwashed...and I’m talking about middle schoolers. The latter one was entered by a girl from a Christian family. Karl Marx’s propaganda is doing very well in some mainline Christian churches.
I don’t mean to discourage, but to tell you that we have our work cut out for us and we might not see a change in our lifetimes. Will it still be worth it? Yes!
I personally think we are seeing the foundations set in place for the final “week” of Daniel’s prophecy...the 70th week. I hope all Freepers are ready for that, if I am right.

Wow - California! Who knew? I was just imagining seeing that handed out at a Wal-Mart here in Katy, Texas. Dangerous. Montrose area of Houston? Possible.
If American women, our nations mothers, sisters, daughters, have degraded to that, we are simply reaping what we sow. The sexual revolution did a lot of damage. We no longer have integrity and Obama is only a reflection of that. May God have mercy on us.

That’s a great idea about passing out pamphlets and flyers. We need to resurrect Thomas Paine in deed. We could even hand out an updated version of Common Sense. Hmmm, it’s definitely something I would like to work on.
Just to be nitpicky ;-), I loathe using the term “democracy” when referring to our nation. Most people do it, all the way up to Presidents, even W. But we are nothing of the sort, and I think it needs to be part of our information campaign to set that record straight. It is part of the problem that people see us not as a nation of laws, but a nation of men, and the mobs who elect them.
I agree because the winds of change are blowing across our nation.

It doesn’t take a majority to do what we need to do. From my understanding only about a third of the colonists supported the American Revolution.

I would add that if you want to fight socialism in America, you should make very sure that your children do not “show up” at the government indoctrination camp known as public school.
