Tea Party Attendance

Posted on 04/15/2009 10:59:05 PM PDT by ProtectOurFreedom

Kristinn started an excellent thread titled "Tea Party Total Head Count Thread (Post Your Attendance Numbers Here). I've popped the attendance numbers reported by everybody through post #300 into a Google Docs spreadsheet which you can view here.

Please post notices of corrections to this thread and I will keep the sheet updated. Right now we are at about 370,000 attendance.

I need to work my way through to the end of Kristinn's thread to finish off the sheet.

Thanks for the link to Henchester’s list.

I think sourcing will be critical.

Colorado Springs is estimated at 1500 by the following:

http://www.gazette.com/articles/party_51765___article.html/day_park.html

Woodland Park, CO numbers:

Hope that helps.

I thought there was one arrest (not sure where), where a woman was standing amid traffic and wouldn’t move. I’m sure someone here will know where it was and whether or not it was really a legit arrest of a TEA party attendee or a disruptor.

Pretty amazing, huh? Half a million people turn out and no arrests or property damage. And next to no counter-protestors.

Yeah, just goes to show you that the disruptors and hooligans get the positive press coverage, while the peacful protestors get the shaft by the media.

The Chicago CNN coverage was downright disgusting...

Yes, I made the tea party in Cottonwood. I went down about 12 Noon thinking I would see only a few fellow citizens protesting but was happily surprised by the large number of people and the wonderful response from the traffic going by.

I posted the link to the spreadsheet on Lucianne and got this response:

Ooooo, #47! Your spreadsheet does not include Warsaw, IN (700) and Ft. Wayne (I heard 3,500 on the radio).

what do you wanna bet that if we got everyone it would be close to 1m?

A little more:

“Yes, we attended a Tea Party, in Corpus Christi, Tx. Attendance was about 1200 - 1500. Great crowd.

As an aside, when it was over, there was not a piece of paper remaining on the ground. Patriotic AND clean!”

Tallahassee Florida had at least 1,500, not 1,000

Although our local rag estimated attendance at 1,000, the organizer of the event sent out a notice that he gathered more than 1,500 signed petitions at the event.

There were certainly more than that, because I was there and never had any idea there was a petition.

still more from Lucianne posters:

#50 Add 2000 at the Troy MI Rally ,250 Traverse City MI, and about 250 Ste St Marie Mi.

I went to two here in Michigan. Drove round trip 190 miles from home to Lansing and another 8 miles round trip from home to the Troy event. It was the perfect day and a perfectly great time.

#47 - Add 1000 patriots at the Tea Party in Kerrville, Texas. I was able to be there at noon, and then drive to San Antonio for the Tea Party with Glenn. Fantastic day...wonderful people.
