That guy (Patrick Henry) was in a lot of places! He showed up in Paducah, KY, too. I think he almost cooked the PA system!!

OMG... That’s just too funny! I laughed until there were tears running down my face, and then I almost cried, ‘cause it’s so spot on.

Forwarding to friends, and my wife is, too.

We are now up to 657 events, in EVERY state, and can document no less than 700,000 and as many as 810,000 patriots took part protesting Washington D.C.'s tax and spend scheme.

You can check to see if your tea party is listed HERE, if not, post a comment on This Thread, citing the city, state and headcount.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Red Eye on Fox News reported 250,000. Of course,
they need to add about 1/2 million. Considering
thay are still talking about it they’ll soon realize
their estimates are too low.

Seriously, I went to my local Tea Party (30 mins. away) hoping there would be at least 3 people there.. There were 400.. Politicians have to SEE us for it to sink into their thick heads. This is just the beginning.

I think we at Free Republic - and Americans all across this Blessed land owe Rick Santelli of “The Trading Floor” an incalculable debt of gratitude.

He is the one who finally let out his anger on national television, and with that righteous, spleen-venting, long overdue release of unbridled, honest outrage, he served as THE CATALYST for hundreds of thousands - perhaps even millions of us “out here” in television and internet land.

It was Santelli who first uttered that 236 years old phrase, “Tea Party” in this modern context, and in saying out loud what others of us were surely thinking, brought it back to the forefront of our uniquely American consciousness.

Should “We the People” succeed in turning back this overly audacious, underqualified juggernaut that has us hurtling towards full-on “soft totalitarian” socialism, Rick Santelli will be deserving of the most honourable mention.

It would not be out of place for us, as FReepers, to sign our names to some sort of “E-card” and send it to him.

Anyone in agreement?

Quite a few of you are probably familiar with this, but, somehow it seems worth posting again, and worth a smile:
The Conch Republic was established by secession of the Florida Keys from the United States of America, on April 23rd, 1982 in response to a United States Border Patrol Blockade setup on highway U.S.1 at Florida City just to the north of the Florida Keys. This heinous act effectively isolated Keys Citizens from the U.S. mainland since the blockade was on our only land artery to and from the mainland. This roadblock portrayed Keys residents as non-U.S. citizens who had to prove their citizenship in order to drive onto the Florida mainland! Hardly an American thing to do!

We protested! A totally American thing to do! More...

They gave that guy hell. Reminds me of Radanovich who did the right thing and voted no. Then the second time around he pussed out and voted yes.

We did pretty well for the fact that most of the parties were held on a Wed, middle of the work week.

This thing is just getting going.

Was at the tea party in Bucks County, Pa. yesterday which took place on the hallowed grounds of Washington’s Crossing Historic State Park. A beautiful day was had by all. This has got to be the beginning. We all must fight on in any way we can to reverse the madness that is coming out of Washington, D.C. on a daily basis.

Also bear in mind at the parties that were lining roadways, you could not carry on a conversation due to the perpeutal horns blaring and thumbs up the whole time. These were folks who could not attend for some reason or another and wanted to show support. We had exactly ONE thumbs down at our protest and thousands upon thousands of blaring horns thumbs up and applause as motorists drove by during rush hour!

They count as supportive, and I have seen many folks say they just could not come but would have loved to (caring for a sick or very old relative, in hospital, people like nurses, doctors, attorneys and ALOT of accountants who just could NOT leave work or call out). We have the major majority, don’t fret about that! and MILLIONS were there in spirit I assure you :) GO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
