Peter King remarks about mosques draw Muslim ire
Newsday ^ | 4/18/09 | BART JONES

Muslim leaders Saturday attacked as "bigoted" comments made by Rep. Peter King involving mosques and terrorism, although King shot back that he believes there is a "real problem" involving some mosques on Long Island.

In response to a recent Department of Homeland Security report about right-wing extremism, King told MSNBC Friday the department "has never put out a report talking about look out for mosques. Look out for Islamic terrorists in our country. Look out for the fact that very few Muslims come forward to cooperate with the police. If they sent out a report saying that, there would be hell to pay."

The New York Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) issued a news release saying King was stereotyping Muslims and that the FBI itself has said most Muslims cooperate with the agency.

"We urge elected representatives to distance themselves from King's bigoted remarks," said Faiza N. Ali, CAIR-NY's community affairs director. "Sweeping generalizations about Muslims and mosques have no serious place in national security discourse."

Until they give up the terrorist lunatics among themselves, ALL muzzies ARE suspect, imho.

And then we can start to demand explanations for the lying, murderous filth in their 'holy' book.

Isn’t this typical. I hate the double standard. Belonging to a mosque does not necessarily make you an Islamic terrorist. However, if you belong to the NRA or even simply own a gun, then you certainly MUST be a sleeper member of some right-wing militia group that wants to overthrow the gov’t and destroy life as we know it...

Hi TK. Perzackly right.

It seems nearly every mohammedan supports terrorism, whether by actively engaging in terrorist acts, covertly supplying funding, matériel, physical or legal support for terrorists, or by passively failing to act to prevent terrorism or expose terrorists.

You must NEVER stereotype Muslims, but you CAN stereotype US war veterans as genocidal NeoNazis...

“...Sweeping generalizations about Muslims...”

Of course, generalizations about pro-life anti-gun control
Christian anti-Communists are fine, since these folks are so stereo-typically similar. Muslims are a much less homgeneous group of people (sarc!).

It’s all about cowardice. The liberal media are cowards as are most governments as witnessed by with the cartoons depicting Muslims.

Mr King is not a coward and says it like it is, how he believes it is and I say more power to him.

Will we ever hear the media call threats of genocide against all infidels ‘bigoted’?

It is so typical. Leftist dribble to accuse the other side of doing what they are doing. They will never understand Conservatives and their love for this Country. I am convinced it is not in their make-up. The left is the Blame America crowd for everything and use Conservatives as their targets lumping us all into terrorist now.

Their attacks on Bush including Sheehan and her crowd in Crawford were deemed okay by the left. Those folks are flat out looney but that is okay because they are liberals and can say and do anything they want.

How many of the hijackers on 9/11 were Muslim and how many were conservative 2nd amendment types? Looks to me like that little detail of 19-0 in favor of the Muslims should speak volumes to the world. Instead Rep King is picking on Muslims and their mosques according to the left.

Hope Rep King keeps speaking out.

What doesn’t “draw muslim ire?”

I have yet to hear of anything that doesn’t, with the exception of the murder of innocents, which generally brings muslims celebrations.

No mosques in my country, my state, my county, my town or my NEIGHBORHOOD! NO mosques any time any where.

...or you could just eat a pulled pork sandwich in sight of one! I’ve gotta say here that it was brilliant to serve pulled pork at some of the Tea Parties around the country! Nice combination of Taxed Enough Already and ‘drawing muslim ire’ (as if that were an accomplishment). This is not a recruiting ad for drawing muslim ire, tho’ at some time in the future it will look good on your resume!

I had a dentist appt. a few weeks ago, back in the town I grew up in. Never bothered to get a new dentist since I've been going to the same place since I was 5. But I digress. On the drive in, i was talking to a friend on the phone. I drove by new construction, which isn't unusual since Grand Rapids has grown so much. But what it was shocked me. A brand new, golden domed mosque. My exact words on the phone were, 'Holy sh!t! They're building a f'ing mosque!' On the southeast side of Grand Rapids. in a very quiet neighborhood.

I would be very interested to see the new construction rates on new mosques around the country...

As I've said before, a mosque is a fortress with large domes and minarets.

I would guarantee that if a search were conducted on every mosque in the US, they would they would find that 80-90% would be arms depots for further terrorist actions.

I think it has gotten to the point where there is not enough room or tolerance for any more religious religion in the U.S. I think it is time for all Muslims to leave unless they can some how show allegiance to the U.S. Sounds harsh I know but that is the only way the U.S. can have some type of peace.
