I think we need to be prepared on some level for trouble for alot of reasons—health, economic, weather-related. Whether it is naatural or a manufactured crisis—for political purposes, or real, it is wise to keep on top of it and make sure that you don’t need to depend on government for protection.

I have increased my supply of natural anti-virals, hand cleaner, etc. 36,000 may die annualy— likely very old and weak, but this Mexiflu is an interesting mix of viruses that we have not seen. As has been previously posted, the 1918 flu started in Kansas and first emerged as a fairly begnin flue and then reemerged as a fierce killer.

I personally am trying to keep the philosophy prepare for the worst, hope for the best. I know that if there was an outbreak where I live, I could hold up for at least a couple weeks. Given our world, I don’t think it is overreacting, but rather wise.

I would say to keep your hands as clean as possible, wash frequently, try not to rub your face, eyes, nose unless you wash the hands before doing that...

Hand sanitizer would probably be a good thing, in moderation...I have heard that the hand sanitizer tends to not be effective if you constantly use it (obviously)...

Go to the doctor for a quick (snapshot) of the body if that is feasable...And be ready for a rush on Tamiflu...See if the doctor can keep a dose ready, or just go ahead now and get it...

That’s what I am planning on doing soon, unless someone tells me not to...
