Ahh...
You’re just a wannabee with no real weapons or combat training or experiences!
I’d call a 45 with a can more like an air nailer. Bordering on uncomfortable to make yo reach for hearing protectors if you’re a hearing-protective wimp like me!
One of my more fun range experiences had to do with sight, not sound. Downloaded 44 magnums that could be SEEN arcing toward the target in daylight, like dark tracers.

“Youre just a wannabee with no real weapons or combat training or experiences!” Posting that to Matt gives new meaning to ‘irony’ ...

Hopefully the sarcasm was evident to others in addition to Travis, who I know personally and certainly respect.

To those who know whom Matt Bracken is, the sarcasm is evident immediately. But to those who do not, you might want to post links to his books. ;^)

Yep.......dead on !
The least noise I have ever got from a suppressed weapon is a ruger 77/22 with a integral can on it , full length barrel........shooting a 22 short popping street lights. The lights popping made the use of a can moot. My use of such tools was always to disable sensors for advanced access and disablement of improvised gadgets.
1140 fps or less at an ambient temp of 60 degrees and 30% humidity is test bed standard for us.

And subsonic bolt guns are an unusual rarity Any rifle can fire subsonic ammunition, provided that you can buy it. Catalogs have plenty of such .22 ammo, for example.

The bullet makes one hell of a snap itself. Only if you miss the squirrel (or whatever you are hunting.)

Nope, can’t find it mentioned anywhere in the MSM. I tried a Google search on the terms MONTANA FIREARMS FREEDOM ACT, each search with one of a myriad of TV public and cable news as well as newspapers. Not even Fox News has any mention of it. They can’t hide it forever.

Hmmm, a gun manufacturer might be intersted in opening multiple plants, like, 50 of them

What firearms are manufactured inside the State of Montana ?
I believe Cooper Firearms are. Someone did tell me that they endorsed Obama for president, but I never checked into it.
If this happens, I think many companies would re-locate or start a new division.

THe author of this article seems to be indulging in a bit of fanboyism, doesnt he? Phrases like “Gotta love it” etc dont really make for a mature report.
Sure, its good news, but lets have a little decorum..
I dont like his tone, and distrust his motives in writing this piece...

Used to work with a guy from Ireland.
He wanted a nice 22-250, and we found him a nice Ruger to ship back to the Emerald Isle.
He kept asking about where to buy a suppressor. Across the pond, most varmint hunters use them so as to cut down on the noise.
