"Al Gore to Dick Cheney: 'I waited two years'
Politico ^ | May 15, 2009 | By ANDY BARR

Al Gore said Friday that fellow former Vice President Dick Cheney has jumped back into the political fray too soon into the new administration’s term.

“I waited two years after I left office to make statements that were critical,” Gore said during an interview on CNN, pointing out that his critiques were focused on “policy.”

“Talk about somebody that shouldn't be talking about making the country less safe, invading a country that did not attack us and posed no serious threat to us at all,” Gore said of Cheney.

Gore identified Cheney as “the leading spokesman for his party” and said he suspects Cheney’s prominence is not welcomed by other Republicans

“I have a feeling that members of his own party wish that he would not do that,” Gore said. “But I'll let that be an argument between him and them.”

Despite the criticism, Gore claimed he does not “want to get dragged into an argument with Dick Cheney about what he's getting into.”

Gore is mostly right. Cheney is a lot better than Steele.

Did I dream that?

Nope - wasn't a dream - was a nightmare.

If Al Gore and the Administration he served had been doing its job for eight years, the events that the Bush Administration had to defend against might not have occurred. So, Al .. STFU.

That's because he was home in his double-wide in Tennessee, curled up in the fetal position, gaining 100 lbs.

Al, we already know that took 2 years. It's not like we expected you to get that out of your system in only 100 days.

Understandable Al... I wouldn't go look for an a$$ kicking either. Just go home, lock the door, and don't ever come out!

To overlay Al Gore's time line onto World War II, it means that a former vice president would be justified in attacking, not just the conduct of the war but the necessity for the war as well as the veracity and patriotism of the commander-in-chief six months before we were mounting the D-Day invasion.

Attacking your own country in time of war does not become any more palatable to your countrymen because it had been for a time held within-much like holding rather than passing gas.

So he's saying two years isn't bad to criticize an administration when the unwritten rule was, until recent times, that you kept your opinions to yourself forever on disagreements with your successors.

Democrats threw out the old rules and are now upset that anyone else can do the same.

albore waited two years? No way Jose! He’s lying thru his teeth. Given that Bush Admin began in January 2001, albore still spoke up on the political scene.

Regarding Iraq:

“We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.”
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.”
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

Well! Gore still hasn’t said anything that makes sense or is worth listening to.
