Please post all information about today's protests here.

My phone is already ringing steadily.

Our AIP folks on the ground at the Notre Dame gates report that the CBR plane is in the air.

Bush not fighting back like he should have done...like Cheney is doing now...is only the tip of the ice berg. Far too many AMericans are the result of liberal day care schools, nanny-welfare state homes, etc. and they are ripe for this type of thing.

OBAMA & DISHONOR AT NOTRE DAME

IOW, just listen to the teleprompter and ignore what the man actually does

But I believe there are enough solid Americans left to educate others who will hear and to take our country back. And we will start in 2010 and neuter these vipers, and then turn them out whole sale in 2012 if we are up to the task.

Speaking of this thread, why was it removed from Breaking News?

I would imagine that a lot of the courses at Notre Dame are identical to what is presented at public universities. ND is just “wearing” Cathlolic affiliation to get contributions from the uninformed.

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

No, the American people are not moved by this tragedy. They are collectively like Pharaoh of old from ME to CA and beyond.

True, but GWB sat around for three years waiting for liberals to say something nice about him, and there was a “deafening silence” that he never heard.

Yes. But we’re dealing with dozens of regular grassroots folks who don’t have all the resources of the “media.” It’s going to take time for the photos and the recordings to all become available.

I’m expecting some of it to start coming out tonight as some people make their way home or to wherever they’re staying and can get on computers to download.

Video may take longer. Some of it quite a bit longer. Again, some folks have limited technical resources.

That’s grassroots!

I agree. Bush should have taken the fight to the libs in the public square and used his bully pulpit. He did not and far too many people’s opinions and notions were allowed to be completely dominered and manipulated by the MSM and libs.

Truthfully, right now I’m not concerned about “the American people” as a whole. I’m concerned about Christians. If Christians will not get right and quit compromising with evil, the country cannot be saved, I believe. If they will get right, and do right, I also believe that there is not a force on earth that can stop them. And the American people will be swept along on that powerful wave.

Not only that, but people on our side tell us to keep quiet. They're afraid we'll embarrass them. The media left no stone (or garbage can) unturned when it came to Sarah Palin. You would think they'd be curious about the lack of information about obama.

Where in the Bible does it say Mary is holy? And why do we need her to pray for us when we can do it for ourselves?

Grow up. Our faith is Christ centered!!! And you and others like you only cause more division between Christians when we need each other more than ever. Pay attention, many so called Christians today are embracing abortion and homosexuality. We need each other, conservatives who believe in the gospel and know we need a savior and am thankful for his love and mercy. You have offended me and others here who are Catholic on a day that has been painful and sorrowful for our church, faith and those who have been led astray. There is no need to respond I already know how you feel.

APOSTOLIC CONSTITUTION
OF THE SUPREME PONTIFF
JOHN PAUL II
ON CATHOLIC UNIVERSITIES

http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/john_paul_ii/apost_constitutions/documents/hf_jp-ii_apc_15081990_ex-corde-ecclesiae_en.html

INTRODUCTION

BORN FROM THE HEART of the Church, a Catholic University is located in that course of tradition which may be traced back to the very origin of the University as an institution. It has always been recognized as an incomparable centre of creativity and dissemination of knowledge for the good of humanity. By vocation, the Universitas magistrorum et scholarium is dedicated to research, to teaching and to the education of students who freely associate with their teachers in a common love of knowledge(1). With every other University it shares that gaudium de veritate, so precious to Saint Augustine, which is that joy of searching for, discovering and communicating truth(2) in every field of knowledge. A Catholic University’s privileged task is “to unite existentially by intellectual effort two orders of reality that too frequently tend to be placed in opposition as though they were antithetical: the search for truth, and the certainty of already knowing the fount of truth”(3).

2. For many years I myself was deeply enriched by the beneficial experience of university life: the ardent search for truth and its unselfish transmission to youth and to all those learning to think rigorously, so as to act rightly and to serve humanity better.

Therefore, I desire to share with everyone my profound respect for Catholic Universities, and to express my great appreciation for the work that is being done in them in the various spheres of knowledge. In a particular way, I wish to manifest my joy at the numerous meetings which the Lord has permitted me to have in the course of my apostolic journeys with the Catholic University communities of various continents. They are for me a lively and promising sign of the fecundity of the Christian mind in the heart of every culture. They give me a well-founded hope for a new flowering of Christian culture in the rich and varied context of our changing times, which certainly face serious challenges but which also bear so much promise under the action of the Spirit of truth and of love
