We will be putting together the details of the week’s events soon. For now, this is our tentative agenda for 9-10 through 9-12.

Thursday, 9-10:
Morning: Liberty Summit with select Congressmen and Senators
Afternoon: Grassroots visits with Representatives and Senators
Evening: Time to explore Washington

Friday, 9-11:
Morning: September 11th Never Forget memorial
Afternoon: Grassroots leadership training seminars
Evening: Special Dinner

Saturday, 9-12:
8:00am Set up for stages and volunteers
10:00am Events begin at U.S. Capitol, Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial
2:00pm March begins at Lincoln Memorial and ends at the U.S. Capitol Building

A few days ago it was announced the Florida Chapter of Free Republic would be gathering together in D.C. to attend the National Tea Party. Due to overwhelming interest all across the country, the event has now gone national

Get your plans set and join Freepers from across the U.S. for the 1^st. annual Freeper National Tea Party Convention!

• Where:    U.S. Capitol, Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial March begins at Lincoln Memorial and ends at the U.S. Capitol Building
• When:     September 10-12, 2009

This event is open only to Registered Freepers, their families and friends.

I’ll be coordinating this event with the MOST appreciated help from seekthetruth. For now I (Brytani) am collecting names of those who are committed to going to D.C. with us. Once we have a realistic idea of how many Freepers are aboard, I will be contacting Hotels in D.C. to find a group or convention rate. 

We already have a few wonderful Hotels on our list and don’t want to wait until they are filled up. The plan is simple and will take only a FreepMail but time is of the essence!!! Hotels in D.C. are filling up fast!!!

Please send Brytani a FreepMail if you are going to D.C. or if you’re strongly considering attending.   For now I need your FreeperID, the number of room you will need the how many people will be in your party. If you have any questions please ask them on this thread or if you’d prefer you can FreepMail me.

During the first week of June I will announce the Hotel, room rate, address, perks etc and when and how your reservation will need to be made.

For those who are considering joining us but have not completely committed, please FreepMail as well. This will give me a better idea of how many room to inquire on.

If you are already attending please consider staying with Freepers from around the nation. You’ll have the opportunity to meet people you’ve been talking to for years and make new FRriends.

Come on everyone get on board!!! Save a bit of money! Could you ask for a better group of people to spend a weekend with?

If you are NOT going to book a room but plan to attend the Freeper Convention/Banquet, please let Brytani know through FREEPMAIL how many in your party will be attending the FReeper Convention. FREEPERS CAN STILL JOIN US IN DC! Just let Brytani know through FREEPMAIL if you plan on booking at the Freeper Convention hotel as soon as it is chosen. Also let Brytani know if you are attending the Convention Events/Banquet.

We certainly can have more FReepers join us. It was important to get to the 100 room number commitment by the 31st deadline in order to have leverage with the hotels to get the best deal. We met that goal, but more FReepers can still book at the hotel that ends up being chosen.

As soon as the hotel is finalized, the information on how to register will be posted along with info about the hotel, directions, etc.

It is also important that those who have booked a room elsewhere, let Brytani know through FREEPMAIL how many in your party are planning to attend the Freeper Convention Events/Banquet. That number is necessary to know the size banquet hall that will be needed for our Convention./Banquet :)

Your fine - I guess there was some confusion in regards to the cut-off.....

In order for FR to receive the best rate package and perks for our convention we had to commit to one block of rooms. A block consists of 100 room with most hotels. We reached that goal and I was able to start contacting hotels for quotes.

ANYONE WHO DID NOT COMMIT TO THE FIRST 100 IS STILL VERY MUCH WELCOME TO JOIN US!!!

I will be accepting commitments for room and/or the convention for at least the next two months, please freepmail with your plans if joining us.

Mrs. exit82 and I will be there. We have a room for 9/12 already at an Embassy Suites in DC. We will be there for the events on 9/12.

We are trying to be there for 9/11 as well.

...I called into a talk radio show in Little Rock this afternoon (they were talking about government waste).

I plugged the DC March, as well as the Tea Party Express stop in LR. The host didn’t know about it yet!

I gave the website address “912dc.org” and told them to Google “Tea Party Express” to find out more. CHALLENGE to all Freepers! Call (conservative) talk radio in your area and PLUG THE MARCH! Talk about it with co-workers, church or synagogue members, family & friends if you can.
