Agreed. And many of the posters here are giving him ammunition with their unhinged defenses of the assassination. They are making it easier for all of us to be railroaded and they think they are standing up for truth. They are helping to fashion the whip that Obama will use against us.

Killing is evil and I join those who condemn the murder.

Well be prepared to join the Leftists condemning and now wanting to try Bush for killing all those enemy combatants over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Is Bush evil? Cheney? Rumsfeld?

So when is killing of people okay? When the Government decides it's okay? So it's okay for our Government to kill Iraqi's and Afghani's because a few of their kinsmen aborted 3000 of our citizens?

Yet when our Govt condones the slaughter/murder of 50 million of our own babies we cringe and shrink in horror and outrage only when ONE person tries out of desperation to put a stop to one of the holocaust's worst perpetrators? I don't get it, but actually I really do and it ain't a pretty picture for me.

Why would an abortionist go to church?

He probably justified his actions to himself by telling himself he was 'helping women' in a tough time.

When I got pregnant with our first child, we were referred to an OB-GYN, who had delivered all five children of a family in our church community. Before we saw him, we found out from another couple that they'd discovered he did abortions. Wanting to get that word from the horse's mouth, so to speak, my husband made an appointment to see him. Turns out he DID do abortions, unbeknownst to the family who had originally referred him; they were shocked when we later told them.

But hubby had a LONG talk with the doctor, asking him why he would do abortions, and he had convinced himself that he was helping these poor women at a difficult time in their lives. Hubby told him that we could not come to him for pre-natal care and delivery, and why we felt that way. The doctor said he understood, but looked troubled at the end of the visit.

We found out the next year that he had stopped doing abortions, had returned to active participation in his Jewish faith, then had converted to Christianity. We were thrilled to hear it.

Pro-life means moral opposition to murder.

Even if one person's murder means saving the lives of others down the road, even within the next 24 hours?

There may be young girls scheduled to see Tiller this coming week - who scheduled their appointments many weeks or months ago - and who now may end up not having abortions as a result of what happened today, i.e., maybe give them more time to think whether they actually want to proceed?

The building is the building. The Church is the people inside. Not so?

It is always the duty of every right-minded person to do whatever is neccesary to prevent murder. We have allowed liberal government to dictate the conditions under which we can do this and those conditions are so stringent we shy away from doing our duty. The reason I haven’t done more is simply because I’m still afraid of the consequences. I imagine most people who feel strongly about abortion are in the same boat. Does that make me a coward? Probably. Will I always be a coward? Who knows. The abortionists certainly don’t and therein lies their worry.

“Never before have I seen a thread here so sympathetic towards someone so evil. “

IMO FR has been infiltrated by numerous who seek to instigate discord among conservatives.

They used this tactic at the tea parties.

1) Just because people here are opposed to vigilantism, terrorism, and murder....does not mean they are sympathetic to this guy.
2) Just because people have a different opinion than you, does not mean that its a conspiracy against you. Your opinion is not the base upon which all conservative purity is judged. If you find a large number of people on this site with different opinions than you, you might actually have a minority opinion on that particular subject. That is okay.
3) When you find opposition to your view...debate it logically....don't resort to fallacious arguments like automatically labeling anyone with a different opinion as a heretic/troll/infiltrator.
4) I have not signed up recently.

“Everyone on here claiming the media and government have the right to smear and attack the pro life movement because of the murder of a rabid abortionist, are digging your own graves and I would appreciate it if you would not dig my grave with you!”

I don’t know where you get the idea that ANYONE on this thread says the government and media have a RIGHT to smear us. We are saying that they will smear us, unrightfully to be sure, but just as damaging to our cause even if done unrightfully.

Giving ammunition to the media and government to unrightfully smear us is stoooooooopid. They already had plenty of ammunition (much of it false and scurrilous but effective all the same) without the guy who shot Tiller addking to their stockpile. No one is saying that they are right to use Tiller’s killing to smear us. But we are saying that that’s what they will do.

Is the distinction not readily understandable?

Sometimes, Horse Poop is overwelming. Pro=Life is in consideration of the Innocent, NOT the HUSSEINS of Our Society!

An unrepentant baby murderer is now in the hands of a just God.

I strongly suspect Tillers fate is one that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy and I sincerely that hope I am wrong about this.

Ending evil is cause for celebration.

God’s law prohibiting murder is only with reference to the innocent.

The death penalty is fully allowed,
and the OT is repleat with “shall be stoned to death” offenses, and not only by the government, but by the citizens.

We did not do so such a good job at associating the real meaning of Hillary celebrating her hero no too long ago.

Oh they won’t outlaw words. Words are how they’ve managed to get us to this pretty pass. They might outlaw (or try) us talking back though.
