U.S. Releases Secret List of Nuclear Sites Accidentally
NYT ^ | June 2, 2009 | WILLIAM J. BROAD

Posted on 06/02/2009 6:23:20 PM PDT by balls

The federal government mistakenly made public a 266-page report, its pages marked “highly confidential,” that gives detailed information about hundreds of the nation’s civilian nuclear sites and programs, including maps showing the precise locations of stockpiles of fuel for nuclear weapons.

The publication of the document was revealed Monday in an on-line newsletter devoted to issues of federal secrecy. That publicity set off a debate among nuclear experts about what dangers, if any, the disclosures posed. It also prompted a flurry of investigations in Washington into why the document was made public.

On Tuesday evening, after inquiries from The New York Times, the document was withdrawn from a Government Printing Office Web site.

...

President Obama sent the document to Congress on May 5 for Congressional review and possible revision, and the Government Printing Office subsequently posted the draft declaration on its web site.

“why the document was made public”

Ask 0—I’m sure he’ll say it is in the interest of fairness that OUR enemies(not his) know specific locations to target.

It’s absolutely surreal. I feel like America is one big deer in Omonster’s headlights.

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one awake and wanting to run out of the road!

It’s all so obvious.

Just write a letter to Senator Reid. I’m sure one of his staff guys has a copy and would be glad to send it to you.

Accident? I think not. No way this type of information gets posted on a web site without permission from the highest authority. Obama is giving this country away little by little … wonder what Soros and company has promised him for his betrayal of America?

"The federal government mistakenly made public..."

Mistakenly, my butt.

Axelrod: "Hey, I have an idea. Let's publish a list of all the nuke sites in the US, so America's enemies will know where they are. It will make it easier for America's enemies to give us a new 'crisis', and it will make the sheeple afraid of nukes, so they won't be demanding nuclear power plants".

Emanuel: "Great idea. I'll get right on it."

The same day Barry says it’s ok for Iran to have nukes for energy ??
I’m sure this was purely coincidental...

Can this country go down the toilet any faster since The Apologist took office?

Who will stop this nonsense?

Guess I’ll go read my Bible.

I was not sure from the article about who was responsible for this. Was it Obama, or the defense dept.?

It isn’t news to any of us in southeastern Washington State that some of the old Hanford buildings have traces of Plutonium in them.

I just bet it was an accident. There sure has been a lot of these “accidents” with this administration.

We had better remember who and what this administration represents. Greenies, environmental wackos, socialists, and the list goes on forever.

We are in grave danger with these bumbling leftists and they are not acting in the best interests of the United States. I will be so bold as to say that they really hate their own country.
