Seriously doubt it. His family came to America from Germany in 1845.

The Bund folks were more recent immigrants.

No, we should use the legislative and judicial processes to establish a very clear framework defining “natural born citizen” and establishing what the legal standard of proof is. Without that, pursuing a claim that a particular individual doesn’t meet the definition is a total waste of time, which could only serve to politically destabilize the country, and open the door for explicitly anti-Constitutional forces to take over the country. And I strongly suspect that many of the parties that have been pushing this issue — von Brunn included — are very purposefully trying to do just that, destabilize our government. We become “useful idiots” for the parties engineering the effort, when we jump on board their bandwagon and allow ourselves to be distracted from bigger and more urgently significant issues.

And it would hardly be a victory for the Constitution’s recognition of states’ sovereignty, to have a federal court use standards made up on the spot, to nullify a state government’s official position on whether someone was born in that state and thus acquired US citizenship at birth.

Establishing citizenship has been going on for over 230 years.  Please don't try to make the case that it is reasoned to act as if it hasn't been.

Without that, pursuing a claim that a particular individual doesn’t meet the definition is a total waste of time, which could only serve to politically destabilize the country, and open the door for explicitly anti-Constitutional forces to take over the country.

Would those be Fascist forces?  Would those be forces that would see our President dictate to banks and lending instituions who their CEOs would be, and what their policies would be?  Would it be forces that would sign off on our President dictating what the slaries for Wall Street CEOs would be?  What it be the forces that would sign off on the President nationalizing automobile manufacturers?  Would it be the forces that would allow our President and his staff to dictate what divisions an automobile manufacturer would keep, and which they wouldn't?  Would it be forces that would allow the President to dictate what types of vehicles would be allowed ot be made?  Would those forces be the same ones that allowed our President and his team to determine what dealership would be closed, even if those dealership were still making a good profit?

And I strongly suspect that many of the parties that have been pushing this issue — von Brunn included — are very purposefully trying to do just that, destabilize our government.

Do you think our govenrment isn't destablized right now?  We have a Socialist Fascist completely out of control, with no visible opposition.  Is that your vision of a stablized capitalist free enterprise system, and a sound Republic?

We become “useful idiots” for the parties engineering the effort, when we jump on board their bandwagon and allow ourselves to be distracted from bigger and more urgently significant issues.

OIC, then you think that there are bigger issues than our nation being savaged by a person who stands a very good chance of not being a U.S. Citizen at all.  And when he seeks to destroy what this nation has stood for, for in excess of 230 years, you don't think it important to look for any way possible to take him down legally.

And it would hardly be a victory for the Constitution’s recognition of states’ sovereignty, to have a federal court use standards made up on the spot, to nullify a state government’s official position on whether someone was born in that state and thus acquired US citizenship at birth.

Oh bull s--t!  The Federal Government has every right to determine the Citizenship status of a person swearing an oath to the very U.S. Constitution that requires he be a Citizen.

This isn't a Tenth Amendment issue.  Using your logic, no state would ever have to provide any legal documentation for any matter.

"Well, my come back to that would be, yes it is one thing to take B.S. from the left. And it's antoher thing entirely to have people who profess to support this forum, dig up stuff to back the leftist's claims regarding this forum."

Right. I was supposed to stick my head in the sand (about an issue I feel strongly about) and pretend that this did not happen. Mums the word, they'll go away!

That's how someone afraid of the truth lives their life.

Grow up.

"Why would you do that?"

I'll let you pause and figure that out. 100% positive you'll come to the truth's antithesis.

"You didn't couch your comments with something like, we may not always have the brightest people here, but we con't condone violence or racism. No, instead you just blithely back the leftists."

Oh God, grow up...they'd be right on this one, dummy!

"Why shouldn't he have to provide those documents in the interest of openness and a full disclosure?"

False choice. He has provided the document to those responsible for verifying it. You're spun up cuz he doesnt have to provide it to you. ;)

If you wished to discuss the matter of the birth certificate and those who think it's a legitimate issue to raise, I support you doing so on any of the many active threads on this forum where that issue is the topic.

That's how someone afraid of the truth lives their life.

No, it's how people who are prudent conduct their lives.  I'm not going to give you a hard time for expressing your view on an active thread on this topic, other than to simply disagree with you.  I will give you a hard time for bringing it here to justify the left's perception of this forum.

Grow up.

Frankly, I believe I have been acting like an adult on this subject.  It is you who supported bringing in a side issue that had nothing to do with this thread.

"Why would you do that?"

I'll let you pause and figure that out. 100% positive you'll come to the truth's antithesis.

I'm supposed to come to some state of enlightenment, that would cause me to think siding with Leftist who trash this forum are justified to do so?  That'll be the day...

"You didn't couch your comments with something like, we may not always have the brightest people here, but we don't condone violence or racism. No, instead you just blithely back the leftists."

Oh God, grow up...they'd be right on this one, dummy!

No.  They wouldn't be right.  Raising the issue is not germane to this thread and it is a legitimate issue.  And that is a mature stance to have adopted.

"Why shouldn't he have to provide those documents in the interest of openness and a full disclosure?"

False choice. He has provided the document to those responsible for verifying it. You're spun up cuz he doesnt have to provide it to you. ;)

Full disclosure is not asking a governor to vouch for you.  It consists of making all documents related to his birth made public.  It's about providing a copy of his Visa that he traveled on as a youth.  It is finding out if he was considered to be a citizen of Great Britain as a child.  It is about releasing school records that would show if he were here as a foreign citizen or as a U.S. Citizen.  It's about finding out if he renounced his Citizenship to attend Islamic schools in Asia.

There are a number of things that Obama could do to clear this issue up.  And each of those measures should be exhausted before people are criticized for questioning his qualifications to be president.

BTW, just how far do you think an F.B.I., C.I.A., or Secret Service employee would get, if they refused to produce any of the documents Obama has, and used a sitting governor to dodge their production?  Do you think that would fly?  Do you think the President of the United States is a less sensitive position?

-grin-

Right back at you...

Did you really expect me to read that? Obviously I can perform critical analysis far faster than you can, and as a result...tossed you in with the invertebrate birthers a while ago.

Dropping back to something resembling milquetoast dialog might fool someone in your cerebral stratosphere...but not me.

You played yourself from jump.

Anyway, let us all know when you get something accomplished (in 15 years) with the whole birth certificate hustle.

When you do, I'll let you know about all of the real issues that the Libs flew by you while you were chasing your tail. :/

Why would you expect a museum dedicated to the Holocaust to present an exhibit on abortion?

Or do you think that an abortion holocaust and the Holocaust are the same?

Or do you think that all museums, regardless of what their dedicated to, should have exhibits on *ALL* facets of history?

Thanks for the response. Since it didn’t address the issue, there’s really not much to respond to. As for the insults, I don’t really care what some fool on a forum thinks of me.
