No, its the same accuracy, its the survey data that is wrong. Same net, but a different source

I agree, but it would have been better had this happened 4 years ago at the top of the market as the house is worth significantly less in todays market. Pain and suffering should make up the difference.

This is a tragedy that has nothing to do with Obama or muslims. You tried to make it something it is not in order to look clever and make a political statement.

I’m not a lawyer but I don’t think you can bankrupt against a tort.

The GPS slant is significant IMO.I bet that someone identified the wrong house on GoogleEarth and passed on the GPS coordinates for it to the demolition company.

Handheld units for serious outdoor use are accurate, very accurate. The automotive units may be what you are talking about. Government degredation of signals ended long ago.

It seems that this sort of thing isn’t all that unusual, though not quite as extreme...
A friend came home from work one day, and found that 1/2 of his roof had been removed. It turns out that a roofing company came out and began working on the wrong house... His! The roofing company offered to replace the shingles that they had already removed, but his lawyer convinced them to pay the roofing company of his choice to come out and replace his roof, which was less than 2 years old at the time.
Nowhere near as bad as losing the entire house, but still...

Yes , that is plausible. Google earth routinely has pictures of homes with incorrect street numbers.

Shew....

I think a Carroll County jury is gonna be quite generous in the end.
YUP!....build a new house (fully furn.) w/ two new (choice of new 2011 cars)
and call it even...should make it OK.

My mom is on her condo committee. Last year, they contracted with a company to tear off and reshingle one of the 20 buildings. She came home to see them doing the tearoff on her building. Wrong one.
