An apology from David Letterman was good enough for Sarah Palin - but not for protesters who demanded the late night host's dismissal Tuesday at a Broadway demonstration.
"Fire Dave! Fire Dave!" the crowd of about 50 protesters chanted as Letterman fans filtered into the Ed Sullivan Theater for the show's taping.
"I hope to have him see the light," said demonstrator Josephine Sarnok, 59, of Newark. "I think it was over the line."
BettyJean Kling, 61, accused Letterman of using the Alaska governor's family to boost his ratings. She stood by a large plywood sign with the words "Fire the pervert" spray-painted across the front.

If his internet protocol (IP) address is static, non changing, he could have 20 email addresses, the mods would pick up on the ip addie as someone who has been banned etc.. If he had multiple ip addresses, he could have multiple FR accts undetected by the mods. Ie:aol, wireless, comcast.
I’m not a guru, but I think that’s the gist of it.

To attack someone making an observation about the effectiveness of a 50 person gathering outside Ed Sullivan and calling them an idiot? So that’s what typically goes on here according to you - and by a supposed respected member of this board?
From there, Nautinurse jumped in, with more name calling, and NGZ continued with her BS about me being a liar, a fraud, a pretender, etc. - because I supposedly “flamed” a group of people outside Ed Sullivan. I didn’t flame anybody - I didn’t call them names, I didn’t insult them, I did nothing of the sort, merely stating I thought their actions were not going to be as effective as writing to CBS or their advertisers.

Interesting point...I’m wondering whether Sarah may have, with her aggressive handling of this flap combined with the uproar from thousands of us, immunized herself from the more vicious ad hominem attacks the left has been spewing. Do you think that smarmy libtards - particularly those who derive their livelihoods in arenas that can be affected by public pressure - might think twice about going after Sarah and her family as viciously as they have?

I don’t think Letterman should be fired, as I didn’t think Imus should have been fired. He should have apologized which he did. I don’t have a problem with a boycott either, losing viewers and advertisers is the effective way to send the message. OMO, the protesters need to make it clear that they are exposing the hypocrisy.
