Just say NO to the Cap n Trade bill! Congress is trying to pass Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121 or 800-828-0498
WE MUST ACT NOW! THIS BILL WILL BE DEVASTATING FOR OUR COUNTRY. THIS BILL NEEDS TO BE DEFEATED! PLEASE ACTIVATE YOUR PING LIST, EMAIL LIST, FACE BOOK, TWITTER OR ANY OTHER WAY TO MAKE THIS KNOWN. Call Congress. Please be active as I have said before, the left is. Emails for this and health care are going out, their base has been activated to get it passed. We need to get it STOPPED!
I put in calls to Tammy Baldwin, Herb Kohl, Russ Feingold, etc.
Took a while to get through and though the staffers were nice, you can tell they just HATE this when the proletariat catches on to what they’re up to, LOL!
Jerks.
I’ve called and emailed all my elected reps in the past 2 days, and sent them articles. I doubt it will have any impact but it’s something. Senator Casey’s office is spewing talking points, as usual, and claiming that the CBO says the legislation will save each household $175 on average.
Fron Redstate:
Rep. Connolly (D-VA) is refusing to say how hell vote on cap and trade. Call him at 202-0225-1492.
Congressman Perriellos (D-VA) office told a caller that Congressman Perriello wants there to be enough votes to pass Cap & Trade so he can vote no on it.
Call and demand Congressman Periello vote no on H.R. 2454. His number is (202) 225-4711.
Congressman Jim Marshall (D-GA) is refusing to commit on a position. Call him at 202-225-6531.
Congressman Sanford Bishop (D-GA) is keeping a tally of callers and his office says hell vote based on the number of callers for or against cap and trade. Call him at (202) 225-3631.
Congressman Mark Schauer (D-MI) is still undecided on Cap and Trade. Call him at 202-225-6276.
Find your Congresman here and call now. Tell him to vote no on H.R. 2454, also called Waxman-Markey.
UPDATE:
Perreirlo is voting yes on the bill according to his office just now. Keep calling folks. Tell them you will work hard to remove them from office in 2010 if they vote for this bill. Tell them you will be sending money to their opposition and remind them of the brewing scandal at EPA!
Let’s post the lists from Red State:

FYI
I just spoke with a staffer in Vern Buchanan’s office (FL) who told me the congressman is voting no.
Cap-and-trades effect on fly-over country: Coal provides more than half of U.S. electricity, and 25 states get more than 50% of their electricity from conventional coal-fired generation.
In Ohio, it totals 86%, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Ratepayers in Indiana (94%),
Missouri (85%),
New Mexico (80%),
Pennsylvania (56%),
West Virginia (98%)
and Wyoming (95%) are going to get soaked.
The naive WV Coal miners praised and supported Obama and told the NRA to go to hell...until they found out he wanted to "kill the coal industry". By then, it was too late.
sw
Jim Gerlach’s staffer told me he’s voting against it. (PA)
Looks like we’re making progress. OTOH Nanzi is still pressuring the koolade drinkers, so we MUST keep the pressure up from our side too.
I called my socialist congressbuttwipe.....told them there, that he has to defeat Cap and Trade, that it is an abomination, just like our president.
I just called my congressman’s (John Mica- Florida) office -even though I knew he would vote against this and she said yes- of course he is- but that he really appreciated the support because there are others on the other side calling too.
Also email them! http://capwiz.com/freedomworks/issues/alert/?alertid=13618876&type=ML.
Call your Congressman and tell him/her to vote NO!
Tried to get my Congresscritter both on the phone and through e-mail. No dice. Busy signals and “Oops! This site appears to be broken”s.
Steve Israel, if you’re reading this...vote NO.
Regards,
I called mine and told him I was going to help get him fired if he voted Yes.
I’ve been calling all day and will continue to do so. Lots of clogged lines, hard to get through, but I won’t stop. That you can be sure of.
I can’t get through on any number except my rep’s local office, and he’s already a big no vote.
They seem to be getting slammed pretty good.
Latest news...
Bill has been pulled.
(according to Rush’s sources)
OMG this IS an entitlement ! It’s even worse than I thought, they wrote this is such of way that it will only affect the “rich” ARGGGGGGGGGGGGG
God I hate freaking libs.
Done it! Don’t know if it’ll help but at least I can look kids in the eye and tell them I did more than sit on my hands.
