Thanks, i just got through and they asked my zip code and transferred me to somebody who told me that they would register my opinion and that my congressman, Gene Taylor, is against this bill. i knew that he was the last time i checked but i wanted to re-enforce his opinion.
i have both toll free numbers on speed dial and will continue to call all morning.
I also called Inglis’s office and got the same message.
Jeepers, I'm even correcting myself.
WIll only go to the senate IF it passes the house.
Senate contact information (FYI) can be found on this thread:

Pressure on this sniveling RINO is a must. His office pretended not to even know about the bill; and then not to know how he was going to vote, when I called yesterday. I got the impression that there must be some very special earmark in the thing for him. Our district is not teaming with welfare recipients.

I'm not sure I agree. I think a little passion helps, so long as it is polite.

That is what I love about dumping TV in 1997 and radio on Nov. 4 of last year. I read a quick thread about his death here and haven’t heard or read about it since, except in a few posts here.
There is some famous couple that is getting a divorce that everyone at work was talking about. I had no clue who it was. It is apparently some “normal” family with a lot of kids on a “reality” tv show. Like that is relevant to my life...
I expect our consevative legislator protectors to at least inform the American people the names of the power brokers behind this bill (people and organizations, name all of them), who benefits from capn trade (all parties), what this bill will cost each family and how this bill will adversely affect our Country.
This bill is the worst possible power grab ever perpetrated aginst our Country and Im not hearing that from our conservative legislators, the only people we can expect to count on. I want to see some Mr Smith goes to Washington types and Im not seeing any.
Sounds like it might be a good idea to get the zip codes of the areas where there are fence-sitter congressmen and give those zip codes to the switchboard operators so that the vote gets tallied in their districts. does anybody have the zip code info for some of those folks.
Is ther a NJ ping list you can send this to....or better yet please post this information on the NJ page.
Would the zip code page in the phone book help? Other wise freepers could list the name with a zip beside it.
thanks for this list. I just called the Republican Congresswoman in Fla. Her staffer said the Congresswoman is still weighing input from her constituents. I informed the Staffer while I’m not in that District, ALL of us will be affected by this Bill and all businesses in Fla will be adversely affected. I urged her to vote no on this Bill.
Ok
How about!
“Vote HE11 NO on this stinkin cap and trade shiite!”
With ephasis of course!
For once my WV representative (Dem) is representing me and has said he will vote no to HR 2454.
looking for the zip in the phone book won’t help because i don’t know which towns are included in each congress critters district.
I just did. thanks.
My Congresscritter, Chet Edwards, won’t answer the phone. I wonder why?
So, I left a message:
“Howdy. The LAST time I called your office, I told you that I would be SO upset about your vote for Porkulus that I would run against you. IF you vote for Cap and Trade, the results will SO destroy your political career that I believe that I will have to start picking out window dressings for my new office in Washington. You can leave ME a message at www.timothydelasandro.com “
BTTT
It’s beyond belief that even FOX is wall-to-wall Jackson with cap n trade on our plate..
I’ve called my rep who is a reliable conservative vote -but there are plenty of others that need to hear from us.

Use area code. IIRC there are some listed on link below.
They all have offices in their district that have area code phone numbers. Should be listed on their web pages.
