Many posts and replies indicate that there is a real fear that Obama , who has arrogant despot tendancies , will set himself up as a dictator. As he continues to slip in polling toward Bush and Carter numbers and as his agenda fails to pass this summer many watch nervously to see how he will act out. Keep in mind rule number 1 in setting yourself up as a dictator. It requires the full support of the military. No dictatorship has ever survived or succeeded without the military. The military is usually the source of a coup. Our soldiers are patriots and an overwhelming number of them hate the pretender in chief. The odds of coup against Obama are more realistic than a dictatorship set up by the empty suit. When we look back at this after the 2012 election , after our long national nightmare is over and the pretender in chief is voted out , it will be clear that he was nothing more than an empty suit affirmative action created President that got in way over his head. The democrats will be banished for a generation as we witness the communist pigs they really are.
It doesn’t matter that 90 percent of the military loathes Obama. What matters is the 3 and 4 star Generals sitting at the JCS and subordinate commands. Some (most?) of these guys are paper-pushing yes men who will just follow orders of the CIC to the letter. If the CIC declares a national emergency, requiring him to become, in effect, a dictator,the Generals will fall in line.
Don’t forget the 2010 census, which will invent all sorts of new Democrat voters.
Some kind of legerdemain would be required to trick the military!

Although there now seems little question Obortion intends to subvert the Constitution and rule as a despot, I believe he intends to continue his charade of honoring the principles on which the nation was founded and free honest democratic elections.
I believe it far more likely he, with the help of his ACORN network, (or whatever they're being called by then), will steal the 2012 elections while his co-conspirators in Congress and the media brush aside complaints regarding numerous obvious irregularities.
Then, as in Iran, claim that those who complain are dissidents and troublemakers.

The military would not be the deciding factor in the success of a dictator taking over the US. Rather it would be the courage/desire of actual Americans to reclaim their liberty. The Founders knew this. It is one of the 2 reasons for the 2nd amendment—the means to overthrow a corrupt, tyrannical state. Would 60 million Americans band together? That is what remains to be seen.

Barry needs to keep his eye on Honduras, cause his free ride to Kenya is obviously a possiblity. Very few of our military people will take any orders from that empty suit. If I were him, I would live in terror each day wondering what the people with the real power are doing.
Don’t worry once Obama institutes a new Loyalty pledge for the military to directly pledge to Obama instead of the constitution he will control the military. He will also have his Obama-Corps “volunteers” that will be as well funded as the military. Plus the Acorn and Union goons....

Any change to the Constitution has to be ratified by 3/4 of the States after Congress passes, and that is never going to happen on something like term limits which were put in place after FDR. In this case our small Red States have as much clout as the large states of CA and NY. Our founding fathers were smart men when they drafted our Constitution to make it hard to make changes.

The plan would be to move as many military units overseas as possible and then make the move using his personal brown shirt corps.
Keep in mind Bam has already talked about a “domestic security force” independent of the military, FBI, & local law enforcement.Billions to Acorn, Americorps and other community organizing groups could be the foundation for such a force.
