I hope it’s nothing serious like an illness with her or a loved one.

Why is she resigning? When is her 1st term up? Couldn’t she finish the term?

LOL! More propaganda from you! Her husband isn’t a control freak - he’s very secure. Nice try at trashing once again.

Gov. Sarah Palin will resign her office in a few weeks, she said during a news conference at her home Friday morning. Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated at the Governor's Picnic at the end of the month

She may just be leaving politics all together. Resigning as a first term governor wouldn’t make sense politically to me. She may just want to raise her child and end the dirty attacks on her and her family.

Huckabee, Romney and Guiliani weren't in any political office when they ran last year...

Add Ronald Reagan to that list.

So Sarahcuda is going to beat down Barrack 24/7 ‘til 2012? Sounds good to me!
____________
Me too. Maybe she’s tired of the wimpy press kissing his as* 24/7. She is NOT afraid to call them out, and I’ll bet they are not happy about this.

Could be, but that’s even more speculative than suggesting a sex scandal shoe is going to drop.

If true, why didn’t he put his foot down last summer?

Maybe there is some personal issues she must address. Maybe there is some health problem she must deal with. Who knows?

I differ from some observers in that, I don’t see this as compelling evidence she is more serious about running for prez in 2012. In fact, sadly, quite the contrary.

Wait and see.

I'm having mixed opinions on this.

Every time she steps out of the state for a fundraising event, she's accused of ignoring the needs of Alaska.

Every time she attends a local Alaskan event, she's slapped with a frivolous ethics complaint designed to ruin her financially.

She may have seen staying in the governship as a lose-lose position for her. However, nobody likes a quitter and she still has to establish her bona fides. It's harder to maintain credibility without the authority of something like a governship to draw on.

Why is she dumping this news on July 4th weekend? I don’t get it!

Usually news dumps like this is to tone down something bad.

God, I hope it’s not something like Ensign and Sanford.

I want to take this time to announce that I’m not voting for Romney.

I second that.
