You said — Once again, NO ONE HERE opposes legislation going forward. Rather, we actively support it. Walk, chew gum.
—
It’s also very obvious that this is the only thing that is going to *produce results*.... :-)
Once again the leftist media is concerned about the well-being of the republican party! Well isn’t that interesting and very, very believable!
I'd imagine being slack-jawed is a useful trait for certain metrosexual MSNBC anchors.
~~Another obama warroom hit .... PING!
I’ll bet sure Axelrod & crew put out the
word on their blackberries to their whole
network, and the drones go into overdrive.
Soros might even pay by the word ..
I am highly suspicious that there is something wrong with Obama’s BC. BUT, will somebody please come up with a definition of a “natural born citizen?” Do we have a definition anywhere that applies? Does this mean that babies born by Cesarean Section are ineligible to serve as President? Common sense would say “no, it does not mean that”, but we are bereft of common sense these days.
I am proposing these thoughts because it is obvious that this question has NOT been defined legally in regards to the POTUS. There is no uniform procedure for guaranteeing that anyone one the ballot is really eligible. I read elsewhere that the SOS of NJ knowingly allowed a foreign born individual on the ballot representing the Communist Party.
Could we please get some uniform definition and enforcement of our election laws?
Remember, when the Dems and the left are losing on the issue the last lever they usually pull is the “race card.”
This is the lever they are pulling now. Obama knows that he has a very short window of opportunity to pass legislation that will push America over to socialism without being able to come back.
He knows things are coming...
Oh one more thing on that..., i.e., that no one opposes this legislation going forward.
There have been many FReepers who have questioned whether putting efforts into this kind of legislation that I’ve been proposing since after the election — is actually a “liberal ploy” (... LOL...) and is also a plan to “change the Constitution” by allowing Obama to stay in office through his term and thus, change the Constitution by “default”.
That idea (along with others who have been similarly opposed) just came up (once again) yesterday... :-)
That’s part of the “Obama Derangement Syndrome” that I talk about which is so evident here with several posters on this issue.
Well, take it up with them. Not me.
Quite true. OTOH, so is "HeadInTheSandism", which is, as we all know, highly prevalent in the species of humanity we call the MSM.
You said — Well, take it up with them. Not me.

I do take it up with them, when that pops up.
What I was taking up with you was your assertion that no one (at least here...) opposes this legislation. Actually there are those here on Free Republic who have opposed this kind of legislation, because of the reasons I mentioned (and other reasons, that I have heard, too).
So, it was *that part* that I was taking up with you...
“Natural born” has nothing to do with obstetrics. It has to do with whether or not a person was born in this country of two parents who are citizens. It was put into the Constitution because our Founders knew that this country would be a freedom magnet for people from all over the world, and they wanted to make sure that the person who was President would not have any ties - familial, cultural, tribal - to any person or state other than the USA.
Seconded. And bolded. And other font stuff!
The only reason Bambi even has a COLB is that he was born elsewhere.
Actually, what this may be is proof of what an extremist he is. An extremist will on some personal principle go to great lengths, even spending millions simply in order not to be seen caving to the demands of an opponent.
Yeah, their employees probably have that Keep on Truckin’ guy on their cars....
I agree.
Ii have yet to see anyone say they were opposed to the legislation. And I’ve been at this stuff since it first surfaced. Sorry for the mistatement. I’m sure there are people here that would say Reagan is a RINO, so I should never say “NO ONE HERE”.

You’re right on that one. It’s not required by law for any candidate to show his birth certificate. I mean, some have, in order to qwell a political storm, but not out of a “legal requirement”.
All candidates have had to do in the past was simply to swear and sign a statement that they are qualified. That’s all it has taken in the past and that’s the *big loophole* in this issue.
That’s why I’ve said that the thing states should do is enact legislation for each state requiring by law that a candidate show specific documentation or else they cannot be on the ballot.
Oklahoma, Arizona and Missouri was working on that one. Oklahoma’s failed this legislative session and I’ll be working on getting it through in the next legislative session...
I was talking about “here” (you’ll note that I put that in there) and it was yesterday that this surfaced again, in one of the posts on the Obama Birth Certificate Issue. It was put in such a way that it wasn’t a good idea to pursue this because it would allow Obama to “change the Constitution by default” in allowing him to remain in office for his term. Thus it was presented as a kind of “sidelining” issue and a way to change the Constitution by default....
That’s the Obama Derangement Syndrome for you, right here on Free Republic with some posters.

I’m also waiting for someone to tell me that all it takes to remove Obama from office right now — is for some judge to issue an order to a U.S. Marshal and he will walk into the Oval Office, arrest and handcuff Obama, and perp-walk him outside the White House and put him in jail... LOL...
Any Obama Derangement Syndrome takers on that one? :-)
