The insane conspiracy theory called the “Birther movement” is gaining support among Republican politicians. Now there’s actually a bill sponsored by Republicans that panders to these nuts. I hate it when I agree with Chris Matthews, but he’s right on this issue — this madness is embarrassing, self-destructive, and above all mind-bogglingly schtoopid.

After over a dozen lawsuits, you would think he would just show his birth certificate and be done with it....I cannot think a good reason why Obama would not show his birth certificate unless he is hiding something significant.

In Obama’s own book, Dreams From My Father. He writes about “a poet named Frank,” who visited them in Hawaii, read poetry, and was full of “hard-earned knowledge” and advice.

Charles is full of crap on this issue. The legal requirement is clear and in the constitution. The birthers are right. Ridicule won’t sway a person if he can read and understand what a fraud this bozo is. The opposition turns to ridicule because they have no reasonable response to the arguments of the birthers.
Prominent theories? Maybe. But if one thinks about the whole ball of wax, he cannot post the actual BC if it is in Hawaiian vaults because he would immediately be open to document fraud charges.

Hmm, I don’t understand why you are saying “just to be clear” because I never said one thing ever about Christianity. Is that a straw man attempt to say that because it’s faith based and can’t be proven, it’s a form of idiocy? I’m not sure what you mean so please explain.
For the record, 17 years of Catholic school....of course one might argue that messed me up. :) I’m a Christian and believe in God, what that has to do with a birth certificate I’m not sure.
