DEADLY DOCTORS: O ADVISERS WANT TO RATION CARE
NY Post ^ | July 24, 2009 | Betsy McCaughey

THE health bills coming out of Congress would put the de cisions about your care in the hands of presidential appointees. They'd decide what plans cover, how much leeway your doctor will have and what seniors get under Medicare.

Yet at least two of President Obama's top health advisers should never be trusted with that power.

Start with Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. He has already been appointed to two key positions: health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research.

Emanuel bluntly admits that the cuts will not be pain-free. "Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality are merely 'lipstick' cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change," he wrote last year (Health Affairs Feb. 27, 2008).

Savings, he writes, will require changing how doctors think about their patients: Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, "as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others" (Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008).

Yes, that's what patients want their doctors to do. But Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else.

The Obama Administration calls this making health care more efficient. Those are just code for rationing.

I hope that all doctors understand that the Hippocratic Oath is about to be usurped to the federal government.

And make no mistake that this is all in service of providing health care to 25 million+++ illegal aliens, who in Step 2 of the Obama Program To Destroy America are about to be given American visas and American identity documents (with no background checks of any kind whatsoever from their home countries).

Fox just played a sound bite in which Obama speaks about a red pill / blue pill choice.

Morpheus?

How deep does the rabbit hole go?

I, for one, do not want a doctor who doesn’t take the Hippocratic Oath seriously.

Under Obama’s system, old people will be denied treatment for a bad heart or cancer, implicitly sentenced to death. But for people who are explicitly sentenced to death, courts have ruled they must get treatment. So what is worse, being on death row, old, and sick or being “free”, old, and sick.

Well, you at least have to give them credit for clear-eyed thinking.

They will not increase the SUPPLY of medical services. They will serve millions of people with either the existing supply (their plan), or, more likely, much less supply.

The existing supply provides, among other things, life or death for some people.

Therefore, force will be needed to TAKE from some in order to GIVE to others.

This force will take various forms, with rationing being the mildest and most benign.

There is a very, very strong association between communists and piles of dead bodies. Once socialists get serious about what they want to do, the natural things that humans do - play, fall in love, marry, have children, feed their families, care for their own - all get in the way and have to be extirpated.

They've learned from Hillarycare - but I'm afraid what they've learned is that they have to sack up and get tough.

Rationing is just the tip of the iceberg.

Did you catch this :
"Every favor to a constituency should be linked to support for the health-care reform agenda., If the automakers want a bailout, then they and their suppliers have to agree to support and lobby for the administration's health-reform effort."

So that's why they wanted to force all this different people to take the TARP money.

Wanna bet that brother Emanuel doesn't actually believe in curtailing health benefits from illegals; - even though he believes in curtailing treatment for many other groups...?

Tort reform is too logical a way to cut costs. Any how the trial lawyers are the ones writing this bill and contributing boat loads of money to Zero and his ilk. They'll get their savings by denying treatment to the old and chronically sick.

What I want to know is WHERE IS THE AARP in all of this? The last I saw they were yucking it up with the antichrist in the Rose Garden.

The answer is clear. If you're “free”, old and sick - make sure you're in a capital punishment state, then murder the highest ranking democrat in the state.
